What a great effort put in by all the hardcore Blue Oval fanatics who waited very early with anticipation to enter the FPV Open day 2011.
It was wet for most of the morning and the chamois certainly gotta work out for most of the day. Congratulations goes out to all of the individual winners of all categories. There were top cars throughout all of the display areas. It was an ORSM day out and I am very proud to have been part of the Best Club win. My camera ended shutting down mid morning so I didnt rattle of as many photos as wanted but will post up as soon as I recharge.

Well done guys i found about the best Club win this afternoon and was over the moon, i knew from the first FPV open day we attended we would win this trophy sooner or later due to the standard of presentation of the cars and the presentation of the club and members as i wanted this club to be setting the standard for Club displays as i have been apart of other clubs that were Dull and Boring just looking like a normal shopping center car park and members not looking like they are apart of a club.
Well done again guys i am very happy with the way this club is being run by its members as this club strives for exellence in everything it does...... Cheers Chris

Congats to the boys.
I knew Chis would be wrapped as I first met some of the guys at the FPV day and he said one day the club would win. For those interested our golf cart licenses are now HKD 1.72 million about $215 000 Aussie and rent for $1000 a month. It makes a top of the line FPV look cheap. Dave and Elle |

This was the only way to make it fair as we all had cars from each class in our groups.. If a car was in the top 2 to win and it was from there club of one of the judges that judge was not involved in the judging. It couldnt be any more fair than that.

theres pics of most clubs from the day besides boosted falcon?
are there cars not up to the standard of this club? there are quite a few very nice cars in that club its disappointing a CAR club can be so 1 eyed. congrats on the wins though. cheers josh.

It's not like a reporter was talking photo of a event .. then you could call it one eyed if you didnt get any airplay at a event..

I think it is pretty low your comment "a CAR club can be so 1 eyed". The ORSM Ford Cruises consists of a small dedicated bunch of car enthusiasts who through rain hail and shine have attended all FPV days since their club started in 2005 and because they were not affiliated with FPV until this year were never able to win anything. Despite this the ORSM club kept attending, kept maintaining their high standard and now finally can be recognized for the hard work their members have put in. Let them have their moment and not sour it with your negative comments. |

hehe, but anyway, i wasnt aware you had to be affiliated with FPV to win something. Does anyone know why some of the cars in our display were judged if they were innelligable? or would it have been an oversite? i'm not trying to make this about us, just trying to get a better understanding on the running of the day, which clearly you guys know a lot more about.
