Been out for a while now.
It's easily the best IE yet and almost convinces me to use it except that it STILL doesn't stick by all the web standards meaning lots of sites show up wrong etc.. that alone is reason to just ignore it for me. |

MyIE2 is the only browser that I use. Has had tabbed browsing for at least 3 years now. Way ahead of microsoft..... Lots of other nice features as well. And free.

I agree, Firefox FTW.
Internet Explorer 7 looks stupid to me and it really seems MS have lost the plot If IE6 had tabbed browsing, cool bookmarking an was generally nicer and cleaner I'd still be using that |

I got this a while ago and it screwed up the update engine on my keyboard software because I guess it uses the IE6 engine to update.

And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird. The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon cowered in horror. from The Book of Mozilla, 7:15

Its either Safari* or Firefox for me.
I haven't used IE since Panther was released. *Safari is a browser only the select few know about.

Every person on this forum is a MAC user. I am a Mac user. Big Difference. MAC stands for Media Access Controller, where Mac is short for Macintosh.

Used to be IE all the way for me, then I got forced to use firefox at work, now I won't go back. Problem is, it's the little Windows things that annoy me. Firefox is the default browser for ALL users, not just me, and I can't get the firefox Icon on the desktop where the normal IE one would normally be. It's the lack of little tweaking that annoys me about windows....

Found the first thing that pizze5 me off about IE7.
It brags about having the tabbed browsing. When you right click on a hyperlink, a new option is there - open in new tab. When you select "open in new tab", it bloody opens a new window instead of adding a new tab! Got me 5hitty already! So, what's Firefox? Cheers, Mike

The Beta VCR on the TV and the 8 track player in the Leyland P76 are always a bit of a give away. (ok, not fair picking on Mac users, I know) I went to get a copy of IE 7 but there was no tarball or SRPM available and the binary doesn't work on any actual operating systems just on some bloated virus incubator from the cybernetic warfare labs in Redmond.... P.S. It is quite possible that there are many users on here with no MAC addressed devices in their system, there is still a lot of analogue dialup & ISDN you know..... |
