Default Nissan Drivers and people's sisters - wtf?

What is the obsession of people who drive those 200SX things around with people's sisters (and even their own!).

I continually see plates like "MY SIS"; "JDM SIS" (whoever JDM is!); and today just "SIS".

Is "SIS" becoming the new "BRO"? And why only Nissan drivers doing it. All seems a little suss and weird to me, especially "MY SIS"!!!

Agreed here that I really hope this is a ****take.

Unless you're a complete dork, in which it is alphanumeric speak for S15, the model code for a 200sx.

That was a bit harsh.

You can't expect everyone to be an expert on cars. I did not know the model code for a 200sx. Therefore I also would not have understood its meaning.

Yes harsh, not everybody knows. And the S15 is not the model code for the 200SX. The S15 denotes that it is a Silvia. There are 200SX's that are not S15's.

There are some differences betweens Silvia's and 200sx's, I have a mate with a fully imported S15 Silvia, and he hates it when you call it a 200sx lol!

S15 Silvia was sold in our market as a 200SX, except with a watered down SR20 because of our crap fuel.

There were 3 series Nissan 200SX sold new in Australia

S14 from Oct 94 to Sep 96
S14 S2 from OCT 96 to Oct 00
S15 from Nov 00 to Dec 02

As far as the "number plate slang", it is no worse that 51CGT or 51CXR.....
