Thanks guys.First run out with slicks and the car had no steering.I had stuffed up.Need front runners dont they?Of course.Back to pit lane and a bit cranky.Wade says "Stav ..throw the et streets back on" So I did and the first run a 14.9 Ok..so I stalled it up then a 14.5 then another. The car is going well .

Before installing the et streets.Hot 460 calls me over.Didnt pass scrutineering.Damm auto box inhibitor switch playing up.After a few minutes I got the switch working. Hot 460 smiles. He went back and passed srutinneering and flew down the 1/4 mile. One happy man right there!!
The car is runnig good but it was alot quicker before .NEEDS A RETUNELOL

Honestly I know what does it.Have known for a while. It is doing burnouts and gennerally driving the car like an idiot..heheh. Since getting the diff redone the first burnout I did was at wsid on the night I wanted it to do the job. It did not. What happens is that there are parts called cones with clutches under them. These clutches can be viewed as shims. These are a friction material and grab the axle to spin t.Severe burnouts put too much pressure on one side sometimes and they wear away..both clutches and cones. This leads to single spinning. In saying that lsd differentials do single spin a little. They are not lockers. However I have discovered that there are 2 pinion diffs and 4 pinion diffs. Literally there are 2 pins holding the lot down or 4 pins. The 4 pin diff tends to take triple the punishment of 2 pin. I am lucky as I do know of a workshop here that builds diffs fo 7 second drag cars.In saying that they dont come cheap and my traction bars have done a great job.

The au1 brakes should from ford are the worst brakes I have ever seen in my life.I cannot believe that ford Australia was allowed to release a car with this crap.Plastic booster like a toy.The rubber diaphram inside is suceptible to degreasers, water and corrosive materials. It is not water proof sealed. Au2 had double sized booster made of steelMuch better..The last set of pads I had were metals,They allowed me to stall the car higher.
