Default Focus Section - Thread retainment

Just thought I would post up an observation and suggestion for the Focus section of the forum.

Basically, it has 2 pages of threads, with the oldest post being made in May!

Now when I go looking for information I know I've read in there before, its gone, and unfortunately I'd have to ask questions again - when they've already been answered (and disappeared), which could possibly lead to people getting sick of repeating themselves.

When I compare this to the section I used to lurk in, AU Falcon, which has 415 pages dating back to 2004, it is quite disappointing to see that useful information, tips & tricks, and searchable info is disappearing so rapidly. I remember when I had the AU and had an issue, I could almost always find a solution or answer with a quick search - it was fantastic, so many years of cumulative knowledge!

Is there anyway we can amend the Focus section of the forum to be similar to this - so that over time information and useful posts aren't lost to the ages? As the Focus gets older, and therefore more issues popping up, it might be pertenant(sp?) to keep the information for future owners/potential owners to be able to find and see. Is there any reason it is the way it is with threads riding off to the sunset after a couple of months? Space restraints or something?

Just a thought anyway.
