Default So what is the ute to buy?

I am looking to buy a ute. The 50% scam is not all that important and I suspect there will be plenty of discounting in January

The ute is for work purposes as a transport and delivery vehicle as well as general driving.

It will be kept for 3 years and will do 50k-60k before being resold.
It will not be modified in ANY way, will never see a race track and will be driven on the odd dirt road by about 8 different people.
It will be style side and will have a canopy or at least a hard cover.

I do not give the slightest rats bum over 0-400m time and LPG is out as it will go too many places where LPG is not available (despite assurances by the enthusiasts)

My thought is resale value as some utes are more popular than others.
Turbos and V8s cannot be bought by P platers so if any of them want a ute they must buy a 6.
Most people seem not to be particularly comfortable with manual transmissions.

So what is the go, Holden/Falcon/Other, NA6, T6, V8, sporty or standard?

e.g. XL cost 30k, sell 20k = loss 10k; XR8 cost 50k, sell 35k = loss 15k
