This will be the 7th Annual Marques in the Park. It is a fantastic show with a huge variety of cars being on display. Each year there is a new car I have never heard of.
This show is open to Young to Old, People and Cars, Bog stock to Hot Rod, Primer to Polished, Street Cars to Street Machines, Rusty to Restored, Hacks to Show Cars, Hot 4’s to Big Block V8’s, and maybe V10’s or 12’s, Race cars, Drag cars, Rally cars, Speedway cars. The show is in Canberra and starts mid morning. There is a cruise orgainsed before the show. We have traditionally missed the cruise in order to give us time to get to Canberra. Cruise starts at 7:00 and the show 9:30 for 10:00 gates open. It means we can leave at a reasonable hour not 3:30am. We will discuss the meet and departure time at the next meeting. To see if people want to participate in the cruise. If not we can depart later in the morning. Marques in the Park 2009 Date: Sunday 22nd November Meet time: 5:00am Meet location: Uncle Leo's, The Crossroads (the last on ramp before the highway starts) Departure time: 5:30am Event location: Patrick White Lawns (near the National Library) Entry off King Edward Terrace Event StartShow gates open from 8:30am. show from 10am until 3pm What to bring: A shiny car with a full tank of fuel, chairs, CB radios, sun protection, camera Cost: This show is a free event
