Why is it that every time someone posts something about EBAY on here it is a rip off. EBAY legitimatly sell literally millions of items to millions of happy campers. They don't force you to buy things they just offer another LEGITIMATE way of buying. As the saying goes " if you don't like it don't use it". ZIGGEE how can you say it is a ripoff if you don't know the going rate. Do your homework first please before you throw aspersions on legit buissineses. And no I don't work for them but I do know there is a risk but it isn't neccesarily a rip off.

i think you have taken my post a little to seriously... maybe I should have added a smiley or two...
I never meant to cast anything on anyone, I reliase that ebay is a system whereby, the consumer pays what they think is the item is worth. I will re-state the quiery, i am wondering if thats the going price of these items, thats all... i only asked becuase I wanted a set and have been told $25-$35 from ford... so had been watching these to see what they went for.. and I was surprized... anyway no hassles, ps... you would have to agree that ebay is in many ways a floored system, everyone waiting 10 days, and only bidding in the last 30 seconds, becuase you have been waitnig 10 days, over inflated posting costs, risks of not getting your goods. etc etc. I like ebay, but auctions cause people to lose there heads. |

Just needed a bit more thought into the thread heading as not to sensationalise so much. I've seen a number of threads about Ebay and it's starting to wear thin that they cop such a pizzling. Someone else was willing to pay $172 for them doesn't mean they were ripped off just means they didn't do their homework. You did. Same old same old, buyer beware. Just like buying anything even through the paper some people pay more than others. Every auction finishes the same way though basicaly with everyone bidding against each other last but I have bid when I have been the only bidder 3 days before the end. Yes it can be risky but no more than some other systems. Have a good night I have to go to work now,see ya.

deesun, poiint taken, perhaps the heading is mis-leading, I could also take the agressive tack and say that you missed the "???? or not ??? "which in fact does inply a question ;) but thats cool, I understand where you coming from on it.. and sorry for the mis understanding. truley I did not mean any harm, or insult even to whoever won the item, did not even check the bidding history, be interesting to see if there was a few low feedback buyers upping the price...(yes i'm sceptical ;) )
have a good one dude. |

ziggee - thats an insane price - I think you could nearly get the door trims as well for that price.
Also reason you have it up on eBay for 10 or 7 days is so more people can see it and bid on it at the last second. The more pepole bidding the higher the price will go deesun - did you out of bed on the wrong side or do you work for eBay EF302 - I agree a bit : Awesome, I have always wanted to use the : emotion, thanks guys. Well if anything I too am looking for these chrome door handles and now know how to out bid ziggee as you will only be going to $25 to $35 Nah just joking - are they really only that much new from Ford each? As if they are I will buy then new......

E-BAY.Oh god bless this website,if not for this method of buying parts for my XY wagon I would still be saving to pay the prices of the parts shop.Heres a couple to compare;Front eyebrows $69.00 plus courier fee, versus $10 plus postage.Petrol cap and surround$210 plus courier, versus $25 plus postage($4.50)ebay.Just know what the new price is and if the item is used then bid only what you think is fair.I know a couple of spare parts blokes and they hate ebay,I always drop by and let them in on my latest bargain, and who can say that a used original part is not as good as an after-market taiwanese product.

agreed, i am not bashing ebay, from the little I know about cars, its cheaper than most wreckers, although have started to see wreckers get in on the act too....
yeah some good deals to be had.... just sometimes risky... e-bay was so much better before the "rest" of the world got on to it... let me tell you... |

Or it just mean's that the item was worth 170 odd dollars to that person {something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it} |
