I've got to agree with you're perception of Gympie Health given the time you were there.

Anyway Casper at least I now know you moved around in Qld...perhaps next time it won't be a flying IT fixit trip.

I very rarely have to get up to Qld anymore and never outside of Brisbane if I do (which is a shame).
As I said, the people are great, very friendly and very open.. but "sofistikated" they are not. Simple test, have a look at all the great ethnic resturants in Qld..

thats right, they are not exactly busting at the seams with them are they? :

Well I'm not exactly in a position to comment on that...except to say I've heard Fortitude Valley has some..but then it also has bashings, stabbings and murders for no real reason.

However in the area in which I reside I can take you to Spanish,Thai,Asian(which is different from Thai.) Oz , no Japanese/Chinese yet, give it time.

But one would expect this given that the population for my area would be(a guess)8to10k.

Brisbane has come a long way in the last few years... We are even gaining that horrible architecture Melbourne has. You know what im talking about, primary coloured leggo blocked buldings or strange green swirls.

or buildings with triangle shapes cut out of the sides. I blame Victoria.

-shudders-

When will people learn.

yeah im right up there but only lived in gympie and goomborian for work.i found tincan bay but mostly rainbow to have the most tools and fwits out of the places i have lived in qld. think its the lack of job prospects that does it. gympie was great ppl were nice just the ppl from the smaller places around there are a bit backwards. tho even the gympie locals call it hell town
