Lets see if anyone will take any notice of these real working men, or will they think something so simple is below them?

There is nothing to see here. You did not see anything. Anything you think you saw did not happen. These two farmers do not exist. The two pots of water do not exist. Hayseed does not exist. YouTube does not exist. Now just go back to whatever you were doing before you watched this video (that doesn’t exist). Soon the US government will be trialling a revolutionary new way of absorbing oil with a completely natural substance. We will let you know when you can see the results of out exhaustive testing programme. God bless America.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are also the most obvious.
Clever blokes!

Funny how answers can come from people with experience and just good old problem solving abilities. Bearucrats look at a problem wonder how much money they can make off it, then make the problem bigger than what it already was. These guys look at a problem and find an answer.

Why don't they try before they buy. Fly in some hay bails, drop them on to the oil, see what happens. If the solution only works in tin bowls, then they've lost nothing. If it actually works, then they should buy a couple thousand more hay bails and save themselves and the environment some grief.

That would be too logical..... please refrain from using logic when dealing with government and/ or corporations. Thank you

Amid increasing anger over a huge oil slick hitting US shores, BP officials have denied botching the month-long clean-up and deliberately hiding the true extent of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The British energy giant has been accused of trying to conceal what many believe is already the worst US oil spill, eclipsing the 1989 Exxon Valdez accident in Alaska. Democratic congressman Ed Markey voiced the frustration of many, saying BP has "lost all credibility". "We're beginning to understand that we cannot trust BP. People do not trust the experts any longer," he said. "It's obvious they are trying to limit information to protect their economic liability." Massachusetts Democrat Ed Markey accused BP of a cover-up. "It's very clear that BP has not been telling the truth," he told CNN. But BP's chief operating officer, Doug Suttles, has denied covering up the true extent of the spill. "We've mounted the largest response ever done in the world. We put 20,000 people at this," he said. "I understand the anger. But I can tell you, I don't know of anything, absolutely anything we could be doing that we're not doing." President Barack Obama's administration is keeping up the pressure on BP to do everything possible to stop the leak. "We are facing a disaster, the magnitude of which we likely have never seen before, in terms of a blowout in the Gulf of Mexico," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters. "And we're doing everything humanly possible and technologically possible to deal with that." Even at the lowest estimates, more than 6 million gallons of crude have flowed into the water since the disaster. Independent experts have warned the flow could be at least 10 times higher than the current estimates. BP's next planned step is to try a "top kill" - pumping heavy fluids and then cement into the gushing well to try to plug it. That move could come late on Sunday. 'Only the beginning' A month after the well blowout and rig explosion that unleashed the catastrophic spill, Grand Isle, Louisiana, closed its seven-mile beach to clean up an orange slick washing ashore. As the beach closed, volunteers armed with spades sought to scoop up the oil into plastic bags. "This is only the beginning. It happened 30 days ago and it just came yesterday," said 69-year-old resident Lana Downing. "Yesterday, it was the very first, it was very little, and now it's all over." Charter boat captain Larry Averitt said impatience was also growing further along the coast in Venice, Louisiana. "In the beginning, everybody was trying to be patient. People are starting to get exasperated," he told AFP. "It's definitely affecting our ability to make a livelihood and pay our bills. Nothing BP has tried so far has worked." - AFP/Reuters
