I tried to join, and only get "The page cannot be found" after I click the New User button on the User Registration/Login page (http://www.metal-forums.net/account-new_user.html) after filling out the requested username, email, password and password again fields :(

EDIT: Ahh, I tried again, and got a page telling me there couldn't be any spaces in the username. Fixed that, and registered...

EF Stocko - What can we do with the download section? Is it so we can upload songs so others can hear new stuff? Also are the links for sites we think are worthwhile for dls etc

Downloads section is for things people can download that are metal related...

so, say you want them to download soulseek, you put it there with the url to download soulseek, or the home page.... etc

Yep. Links are for what you feel are worthwile...

There is an upload section coming where you can upload files etc.. The only problem is, you have to have the owners consent, or be the owner.. i.e. Getting a famous bands consent is not easy lol

ausmetal.org <-- great site... I also have an ozzy site at www.ozband.net .. I am a true supporter of oz metal.. You may also like to take a look at www.brismetal.com some good fellas over there...

I just joined.
It looks like a good site - but it is hard to look around properly as I am at work!
I will check it out more at home though.

Or check out Marks site (Death XR) the creator of the original Ausmetal site, years ago. Now the site is back and being added to daily. If its Aussie and it's metal (real metal) it's here...

...and since you're all fans of Australian-made cars, you should be fans of Australian-made metal.

Only going to shows when international bands play is akin to only going to Indy and the F1 GP, and not going to local V8 supercar rounds. So go see some local shows too, plenty of good stuff on in the gig guide.

..and don't take any offense, but there's literally *hundreds* of metal-related sites already online, so what is it you're trying to add that no one else is doing?
