Default Pee in the back yard– save water.

Encouragement is being given to guys to wee in the garden to save on toilet flushes. I just heard on the radio this morning a local politician discussing it and the benefits for water conservation, plus benefits for things growing in the garden. Well, there you go, I will bear no more guilt. Question arises though about privacy, and if seen by a neighbour or passer-by, could complaints about indecent exposure arise?

Urine is sterile - you can drink it too with no ill effects. You first though.

Correct - I am just saying that in times of need you can drink it without making yourself sick. The fact that it is sterile means it is actually safer to drink than our own drinking water.

But still...

I used to live in my parents shed for about 8 yrs. I pee'd behind the shed on the fence for years and boy did it STINK in summer! oh my god, the smell lasted for the whole warm season.

So I say go for it if your prepared for the smell!

actually drinking urine does have 1 effect. Causes serious de-hydration, if ever stuck in desert never drink pee lol

Dog urine is much more acidic than human urine. Also, dogs tend to go back to the same spots over and over, which kills that spot of grass. If you pee in different spots each time, then it should actually fertilize your lawn, rather than harm it.

Our blue cattle dogs pee mustn't be too acidic as she fertilizes our lawn, i suppose it depends on the dog.
