To me it seems like no one wants to take it for such a ridiculous amount, and a current affair will be one big for-sale ad.

Maybe not, but why else would you go on there for?

The 1980s was when car prices exploded...wasn't a Falcon back in 1979 only like 5k...by the end of the decade, was like 20k.

Whoever buys it...good luck to them.

A mill for a Phase 3 seems to be the asking price for most these days... its certainly not the first to be advertised for this price..

Seems like just an advertising stunt to me.. whats 5 mins of airtime during peak ratings worth these days?

Correct me if i'm wrong.. But isn't this still the first one that was advertised at 1mil? And it just hasn't sold?

pretty sure the current record is a touch over $800k and that wasn't that long ago either.

i reckon good luck to him. obviously trying to take advantage of the boom at the moment. i will not be at all surprised if it fetches very close to what he's asking.

a lot of you people saying these things are looking at it as a motor vehicle purchase. its gone way beyond that. these things are a classic piece of aussie history and a collectors item, a very sought after one at that. recent history has shown there are those out there with the funds to grab it at that sort of money. these people are not handing over their last pennies either. it would be to them what $20k is to you or i.

It says to me "I have more money, then sense" lol. Just kidding. The GT is a highly desirable Aussie muscle car. I'm sure once all the hype is over XU1, GTS Monaro, and A9X prices will skyrocket.

Really they should, because they accomplised as much as what the GTs did.
