Regarding the the Syrian question, or any other for that matter.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't think it would have lasted that long, But please, give an explanation, it will help educate us all as to to the rules as what is acceptable. Please note I ask in all respect as we need to draw a line in what we discuss here that divides us, 4v versus 2V for example as to the plights of humanity. Sincerely |

I think with any social debate, politics inevitably rears its head and heated 'discussion' follows. Not the forum for it I suppose...

Whilst we have "Pub and Bar" forums, societal questions will always be raised.

I agree, but political discussion is forbidden by the rules of this forum and probably for good reason...

Plus, I would guess most people come here to get away from that kind of discussion.

I have chosen to not make this political as I don't trust any of them, I just question the rules of discussion here as per my original post. |

If you ask a question, you receive an answer.
Political debate, regardless of topic, always has a fair go. It's only when things get heated or out of hand do the mods step in, and for good reason. Yes, this is a FORD forum, but when you have been involved either as a bystander or a poster, the boundaries are clear. |

Yes, politics tends to be a very passionate subject , and often not always based on fact ,and it is hard to bite ones tongue when a controversial word is spoken , its a good rule to leave it off the forum i think.
You just know its bad for ya when face goes red with anger and steam comes out your ears , and it usually ends with tempers flaring and nasty comments floating around and a big lock symbol and no winners. All hail to the FF admins for wisdom . |

I nuked the Syrian thread. We are all entitled to our views, however unreasonable those views may be. There were comments in that thread that suggested it would only go one way, I nipped it in the bud. As shown above, the site T & C's are clear about posts relating to religion, race politics etc. being allowed to continue only at mods' discretion. There is another thread about ice addiction that has been well conducted and has been a revelation. This is a car enthiusiasts' forum in the main. John
