Let's hope this ends soon, peacefully. For the hostages that is...as for the Islamic terrorist, let's all hope his brains are painted all over the back wall by a police snipers bullet.
Been an awful lot of people travelling from Australia to fight with ISIS lately...and reportedly the legal eagles here that are trying to get them back to our country "safely" (bugger 'em) say that a lot of the fighters are "frightened" and want to come back. Too bad, morons. You wanted to go over there and be heroes, take what you have coming to you and stay there. EDIT: The Opera House has apparently been evacuated after a suspicious package was found, and airspace over the city is in lockdown. Well hows that multiculturalism and "tolerance of everyone no matter how radical their idelogy" going for us now....? Now he's saying that he's planted packages all over the city. He also wants to speak to the PM personally. I agree..."Hey mate...just stick your head out the door where we can aim at it...I MEAN SEE IT CLEARLY...and we'll let you speak to Abbott"... I wonder what the motive is?
They're holding up a cafe and looking at the news there are already some form of military there with assault rifles. What is the message they're trying to send? |

I found it interesting the comments about Lindt being a very vocal company against halal certification. Someone annoyed at that maybe?

Jesus Christ
Although it's not an ISIS flag they're waving around, it is the Shahada, S.O.P. for garden-variety Jihadists. Hope the coppers and SAS can put an end to this without any blood spilt.

Bloody hell....I was really hoping something like this wouldnt eventuate here.
It makes my blood boil.....I pray for the hostages that they are not harmed. How does hurting innocent people make a difference to anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People are asking "why aren't muslim leaders heading down there to strongly decry what is happening and speaking out against it?". I think we all know the answer. If they won't, they obviously support what's going on, either overtly or covertly, full stop.
As for all the "normal muslims" we are told about, where are they? Pretty bloody quiet, that's where. If they refuse to condemn it, they too support it. If they are afraid to condemn it, then perhaps they should reassess their belief system. |

Because you live in country Vic. Go check out parts of Europe and see how the hordes of third worlders is turning out for them, because it is only a sign of things to come at the current rate and it ISN'T going to turn out pretty. And you cannot compare the integration of post WW2 Greeks/Slavs/Italians to who is coming thru the door these days. |

I haven't sampled any African cusine yet if thats who you are mentioning Everyone hates the new guy until they become part of your group, everyone has had issues integrating its not like this is a new thing, my grandparents isolated themselves and formed their own community when they came here after WWII and there was a lot of Italian - Australian violence and hatred in the 1950s towards each other according to them. These days, virtually non existent between Europeans-Australians. Go to a restaurant in Lygon Street in Melbourne, and you'll find majority of the people serving you are European foreigners working here. More education is required I think and on both sides, for the people who are coming here and us. Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 15-12-2014 at 12:13 PM. |

Terrorism isn't exclusive to Islam, what's the excuse for the IRA or a lesser group the KKK? They carry different religious affiliation.

What's the NSW Police tactical unit called? SOG isn't it?
ABC say "An unnamed Islamic educator has arrived and offered his services to police."

And see they shouldn't be doing this, or at the very least, watering down what they're reporting. For example another news outlet has stated there are a gaggle of Blackhawks en route to Sydney with troops on board. Could be true or could be BS, but this is intel that the bad guys can access if they have a smartphone
