Default A bit wet in Coffs Harbour yesterday

I like most people in coffs yesterday got stranded, waterlevels just rose up instantly, in places all over town, hope our members here in Coffs didnt loose anything due to flood waters. I was stuck at work till after 8pm till the water got back under knee level on the roads.

about 3pm

3.45pm

4pm

5.40pm

5.40pm thats about as high as it got on my baby, luckily. lol

the Land cruiser that appears in the middle was one of those 'im in a 4wd i will be fine' people, and he stalled and had to bail.

Very lucky with your XR mate.

I know with my insurance company as soon as water reaches the door sills, it's a write off.

Reminds me of the weather we had in Cairns a few months back.

I got caught in the Wollongong Floods I think it was back in 97 or 98. I had an EA and the good lord decided to raise the water level enough that insurance wrote the car off. Agreed Value sooooo much better than Market Value

Have spoken to my parents who are staying at Urunga. Thankfully my aunt & uncle are up there visiting them & they were able to stay in their motel room.

The caravan park has water a long way up past where the van & boat were. Also lucky that there was 2 cars to tow both things out of the way.

/me hads out floaties & flippers to all involved ;)

Dad's new xr 6 turbo with all the options had water past the seats. It may be written off. His fully restored xy with 10 grand engine got swamped. It's now silted, muddy and a bit of a mess.

I get nervous anytime it rains more than a shower. Last year we spent 1 month out of our unit due to 220mm in 4 hours, coming through our door and walls (gyprock water filled up through weep holes) hope everything is alright for those affected.

You guys could send all that rain this way in about 6 to 8 weeks, and we'll be laughing.

Glad everyone down that way is alright. My nan lives up in Bellingin and they are cut off again.
