Hey guys,
I have a set of twin 45 weber carbys on my mark 2, and I am having a really tough time trying to find someone in vic to tune them! Every carby person I speak to doesn't want to touch them. They are in desperate need of a tune up, so any advice would be fantastic. Cheers, Bec |

Is it tuning or setting up? If its just tuning, a digital tacho, digtial vacuum meter and little Internet research and do it your self, if its setting up, then you will need to find a performance shop with dyno and an old fart(like me) working there.

It's just a tune at this stage, but I have a feeling that something might be wrong with them so I may need some expertise. I will do some research tonight and see what I come up with

if you still want to have them tuned / dynoed then there are a few places around
try MAMMI Motors they are way down south but well worth the drive......they run cars with twins themselves |

Hey mate, where abouts in Melb are you? There's a few guys around that will do them, and they don't have to be done on a dyno if the person knows what they are doing they can get them pretty close, although it is recommended to get them spot on.

You use a portable AF ratio meter in the exhaust. Not ideal but will make sure to keep it safe. And as i said before, it's good if the person knows what they are doing.

You could try Ian Tate (Ex Harry Fifth/Peter Brock) Tate engines etc.
He has been doing 45 mm twin Webbers for lots of the Historic racing cars i.e GT and Lotus Cortinas and many others and has a dyno and has jets etc. He moved to 31a Metropolitan Ave Blackburn from Hawthorn several years ago.Ph. (03) 9877-2317 |

Try Warren Heath Performance, he tunes Webers regularly and is well known for his small ford builds and tuning. He also stocks a full range of jets and other parts as well. Best to phone Warren directly on 0409 934 058
