Best advice I can give you - Apart from (may be) a nice set of wheels, don't do it!!

Mods are like tattoos. You'd be more unique if you didn't have any. Not to mention you'll have more $$$ left over for better things.

Id agree, don't bother.
As soon as you put some 19's on you will need to lower it, then it will look tough so a 2-2.25 inch exhaust with shiny dump will be needed to make it sound like it looks, then of course a multi speaker upgrade and amps to drown out the exhaust, of course a new head unit will now be required as the old one doesn't cut the mustard and not keeping up with the amps and speakers. then the car will look and sound tough but go like a 2009 fiesta over-weighed with accessories so a turbo conversion will be needed. Of course now you at light speed you need to stop so a full set of AP racing 350mm disks and 6 pot calipers up front and 4 's on the rear is necessary. So it goes and stops but it's not a falcon so it needs to turn the corners so bust out the cash for some custom prolines, bars, angles and best upgrade the tyres to semi slicks to take advantage of it all.
Now its like a one off 2009 Fiesta but the interior and exterior are letting you down. How about a WRC body kit 2 door conversion and Matte green paint and splurge on a set of the best recaro seats and have the rears trimmed to suit, best have the speaker cones match painted too, trim out the door cards in soft weave carbon and finally don't forget the fluffy dice...

Pick and choose or leave it alone.

cheers guys, I wasnt going to go over the top with modifications just something nice and simple! I love the thing just wanted to know what was out there as I have no idea about any of it!

Its got a nice set of 17's on it from an original owner but still just a nice exhaust note would be great and thats about it!

To make it yours...at least lower it so the arches fit the wheels and any exhaust shop can do a Cat back exhaust making it sound Ok

if the guy wants to mod let him go and point him in the right direction ... no need to be all sarcastic and shut him down...so he comes back on the defensive... anyhoo have fun and mod the car as you feel fit.

Take the intake snorkel off, gives it a little bit more of a growl under acceleration without making it drone on the highway.Oh and install a 12inch subwoofa!!!

While my response may have been a bit tongue in cheek it does identify what and how far you could actually go depending on how deep your pockets are.
But Id advise firstly it is a waste of money unless you get great joy from it and intend on keeping the car for a while, secondly start with a budget, based on what your plan might be, then double it, and finally have a plan.
Te plan could be as simple as wheels and lower it through to somewhat like my earlier post.
for simple things likke wheels and suspension there are plenty of shops out there, boib janes and peddars for example. for more serious mods there are more specialist shops but get on the net, especially UK and US sites for the fiesta to see what they are doing and whos products they are useing...but never forget the Australian modifiers/mechanics/suppliers are equal to any in the world so shop here first

good luck

Alright cut the ****.

a) Pretty much anything and depends what you want to spend and what you want out of it. Do you want it to go around corners quicker, do you want it to look better, do you want it to go faster?

Going around corners quicker you cannot beat coilovers I had the Eibach springs and found they didn't drop it much lower or make it look much lower. From experience I highly recommend the KW V1 set. However if you want something a bit cheaper I have read pretty good comments about the AP Coilovers. (all available on Pumaspeed) Depending on where you live I had mine installed by east Coast suspension. Any suspension shop like Pedders etc can do them though.

Sway bars and strut braces etc, Eibach do a set that looks half decent (also on Pumaspeed) however I run a Steeda rear bar and Ultra racing front Strut brace. Both make the car feel more solid in the corners to a certain extent but I wouldn't rush out and do this modification.

For performance you could start with a full exhaust and intake. I had a exhaust done by Hi-tech in Sydney that sounds great and also have done a Pipercross Cold Air intake (on Pumaspeed) which I would also recommend and is quite easy to install yourself. Milltek offer a full exhaust system for these cars which is quite popular in the UK and seems to be quite good. Any exhaust shop could fit this for you.

One down side to these cars is the availability of plug in tunes. There is one available from Bluefin which claims to give you a 14BHP benefit however I have not read anything from anyone who has actually used it. 14bhp does not sound like much but it is over a 10% gain in power. If you would like to get a tune done maybe talk to a local tuner who may be able to do a custom tune for you.

In the looks department I believe Ford have done quite well with this themself. If you don't have a Zetec. find a wrecker who has a Zetec in the yard and in the same colour and go and get the spoiler off them, also search the ford genuine aluminium pedals and sill plates. They aren't to expensive and are a nice touch.

As for wheels it is really up to personal preference. I got the optional 17" wheels which were later standard on the Fiesta Metal and did them in black. I quite like them but they are quite heavy.

Hope this helps you or anyone else who is looking at modding. From experience of my own and friends I would not recommend European parts and have heard mixed reviews about Pumaspeed however I found them to be quite good. Some sites such as Central Florida Motorsports in the USA have some alright gear and are much cheaper due to the dollar.

I had issues with European Parts and wouldn't buy from them again, they sent me a damaged headlight assembly with broken adjusters.

I had a friend who bought RS lights for an XR5. One turned up broken from them as well. Took him 9 months to get it sorted.

I will try and find a dyno sheet , we have tuned a car that is used for club racing and it made a lot of difference to his lap times and drivability
