Default AFA Emerald 2010

AFA Emerald has come and gone for 2010, despite comments on another thread which is now locked we had cars travel from the Gold Coast, Mackay, Townsville, we had appx140-150 Fords on display and all had a great weekend.

Don't know anything about the other thread/comments but it sure looks like it was a successful turnout, some top looking cars there.....

It was an awesome show. I live in Emerald and to have something like that here and for so many cars to turn up was awesome! My favorite was the XY GT in the top pic but loved seeing them all. I just wish i went on the cruises but oh well there's always next time. Does anyone know how many of the cars are local? Or where i can join the emerald car club?

Sorry about that boys/gals, would be more i'd missed also, hope you had a good time

Thanks to everyone for making the trip, it makes the event what it is

We also had a gt model line up from xr to fg, and the front now in the dealership was everything except GT's, it's not all about gt's but the whole Blue Oval product

Cheers

yeah they are all pretty amazing. I cant pick a favourite.

However what caught my eye is the Landau 2nd from the bottom. Reading the board it would appear it's a 351 injected clevo with electronic 4 speed auto box. Am i reading this wrong?

No sd1800 you are not seeing things, the information board is correct. This car has had multi point injection for about 8 years, the owner wanted to try something a bit different. The AOD 4 speed is hydraulic, not electronic & has been in the car for about 4 years. The owner is a mate of mine from Edmonton south of Cairns. It is a very nice Landau, what shame I don't own it.

I live in Mount Isa, roughly 6 hours drive to emerald. If I knew this was on I would've made the trek over. Is this a yearly thing and what dates will it be held?
