Some of my cars have, some of them haven't.

Doesn't really bother me. The Ghia isn't and I don't see a need for it right now, so I won't. Maybe at some stage later on.

I actually prefer the look of non-tinted car to a tinted one. Something about the clean and clear glass that just says "Clean and Neat", and that has more appeal to me. Specially on a classic car.

The Fairlane isn't and won't be.

I found the difference of "in car" heat compared to my ute (tinted) and the GF's car (not tinted) to be huge, very worthwhile, a must...

Anyways My daily driver ha tints but my XD doesn't as I think perfectly clear glass looks better especially as I've got the interior done as bright as the outside.

Our EL is done with 3M NERL. We had it on our old car when we drove across Australia and back and it made a huge difference. I noticed the heat on my arm when I had the window down and felt the heat go as I wound up the window (I felt the shadow of the tint move up my arm as the window moved up). It looks greyish from outside so it may not suit those for whom looks are important but for effectiveness I give it 100%.

I belive window tint is a must. And a custom fit is the best.

My first car (xf pictured)I had tinted and it looked great while the windows were up. Shit house when the windows went down.

I found a guy in Cranny thats does the best tint job I have seen. He has done my last 2 cars and about 15 family and friends cars. I love his work.

Had Window Tinting done to the XR6 a couple of years after I got it. The GT only has the factory greenish tint that comes with factory Air Conditioned XBs called Anti Sun (tm).

20% all around on my car. As a result, I bought 20% for my mum (BAXR8) and for my sister as well (RTV tomorrow). It drastically changes the look of the car. Pullled over once, they had a look but didn't mention it.

I've got all of my cars done and I don't think I could have a car without tinted windows. I love the felling of knowing, that when I jump in my ute after work on a hot day, that I wont be boiling my n@#s off. As someone mentioned before, a great privacy benefit as well. Good idea allround in my opinion.

I got the 20% myself and having a dark coulored car it sets it off nicely IMO. Also from a security aspect it's better because people can't see in it at night so there is no temptation to "smash and grab" so to speak.

I just wanted to say that 5% all round is a bitch in the dark. Its really hard to see. But, in saying that, people can't see you during the day when you stare at them!!

Thats my baby with 5%.

All the cosmetics have been done I wanted to do, but now I wanna work on the audio as well. Got the DVD system, but it just sounds to 'tinny' for my liking.

Nope Im afraid not. I should have done something like that though. My car was copyed about 12 to 18 months after I had put it on the road, Wheels, Grill even a couple of the stickers ect. Cops pulled me over up lillydale way one day and went through me for something I didnt do.

We've got dark tint on the AU, but on the XR6T the dealer put on this real pale crap, its barely tinted grrr..
Dark tint is so sweet, makes the interior look so nice and dark.. awesome
Worth the money imo

I find the same thing with mine so dark - it's brilliant during the day and there's almost no light condition that allows you to see inside the vehicle, but at night, if there was a car/truck driving along without his headlights on and I was at an intersection, I'd pull right out in front of him because I won't see him.

Tinting on all our cars. For comfort, looks and safety _2: Have to keep the grandbubbies cool!

Only problem with non-legal tint is that it can be so damn dark that you can have problems seeing out at night-time.

Got the darkest legal tint done from factory on the Territory ... and it's fairly dark ... I am pessed with it ... about to get larker than legal for the XH ute though ... it needs it ... I can really notice the difference when I change cars ... tint makes a massive difference ... definitely well worth the money IMHO.

Definitely. When I got my XR8 I felt like I was in a fishbowl without tints. Blood Orange with darkest legal tints really sets off the look.

If any one in Canberra needs there windows tinted give me a call.
Im fully quailified tinter, no dodgy work done here, i work for a tint shop during the week but on weekends do my own tinting, all legal tint, use only quality full metalised and or non metalised films, and a lot cheaper than tint shops.
No illegal work done!

Tinted windows is definately the go. It's practical AND it looks good.

As for illegal tints.... I heard at one stage if you have an illegal tint and your car is in an accident, the insurance company can void your warranty because of the illegal tinting. Has anybody else heard this?
It's for this reason alone I'll be getting darkest legal done on my new xr6 turbo ute which is arriving this week!!!! :
