Default Police chase

Did any see on the news that police chase from St Mary's out to Mudgee

What an effort, makes those American chases look crap in comparison.
Although American chases turn into a DemoDerby

Aussies do it too good :

(after pulling my eyes away from that avatar)... I would've either done a petrol run, or would've hidden the car when it got low on fuel

P plater, RX, no cash? Yeah right! Screams 'stolen'!

RE: chopper pulling out cos no map.

They said they cant carry every map as the chopper wouldnt take off. i assume he meant due to the weight.

Havent they heard of a laptop with electronic maps?

Anyone notice the boss cops name is Superintendent Wookey.

"Supernintendo Chalmers"
"I broke my wookie"

Like a crazy dream from the mind of Ralph Wiggum...

For a couple of teenagers they had a good run.

Im suprised they made it so far without crashing in typical P-Plate style.

EDIT... Here's a follow up story on it...

Tony Inzitari is the kind of guy who likes to give a helping hand to people in need.

So when a couple of young men dropped into his Lithgow service station at 5am today claiming they had no money and needing $20 worth of petrol, he offered to help them out.

One of the men told Mr Inzitari that his mate had lost his wallet in Mudgee and could leave his own wallet at the service station until they returned to pay the $20 back.

"If they're stuck on the road, I try to get them on their way," he said.

But a few peculiar details pricked Mr Inzitari's suspicions and he decided to call the police while one of the men filled the white Subaru WRX with petrol.

"A couple of young blokes, a WRX, a P-plate, not having money between the both of them. I thought: 'Crikey', you know," he said.

He phoned the police and gave the details of the car.

"If it was stolen at least you've got a chance to get your 20 bucks back," he said.

"By the time I got off the phone the police had already arrived here and arrested them."

Police called off the initial pursuit for safety reasons, after two patrol cars pulled out with faults - one with a broken radiator, the other with a faulty siren.

hahahaha

Superintendent Wookey said: "With a pursuit over two hours over 200 kilometres and no injuries or damage to property, I am very proud of them [the officers]," he said.

But what did the officers do?

and hahahahhaha "They can't carry every map because the helicopter wouldn't be able to take off so they only take the ones they need"... do they weight that much? And what about electronic maps and SatNav?
