Originally I wanted it to be the first car into the 9's - didnt make that, then I wanted it to be the first car into the 8's - didnt make that, now I would love to have the quickest one in the country - even if it is only for a little while......From our progress to date atleast we have a real shot at achieving that. Plans are for me to steer it, I have now got my licence to drive it and I just have to get my safety gear. While we are pushing for a quick number I will let Dom steer it, as I know it will take me a little bit to get up to pace. I am considering winding it back a bit in general to try and get some longevity out of it and just enjoy the actual racing component, so we will see how we go. If this weekend turns out the way I would like it to, then Dom and I can have a good look at where to next. I am heaps lucky to be with TRP and Dom has looked after me well, so a big thank-you to him and the TRP team for all the effort they have put into the car prep to date.

Here's the 8.811 run I found.
Launch was much cleaner than the 9.1 run ... and lifted the fronts off the tar as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ory7B...eature=related

the 60' is where it's at. what's it 60'in? 4-link rear end will make for adjusting the *** end alot easier. looks like the Plazmaman intercooler has done it's job. how heavy is the car?

Also some stats from the run: 60 foot was 1.34 and mid track was 132mph. Final trap speed was 165.88 mph. Picked up 33 mph in the second half.

Our tweaks from now are mostly going to be focussed on launch and staging the boost during the run to try and get a really nice and consistent flow. Hopefully we can get the mph up a little more as well, so coupled with atleast a 1.2 60" we should be able to net a few more tenths. Time will tell....

Hey all - a tough weekend at Jambo as far as times went unfortunately. We might have got a step too far ahead of ourselves with the car set-up and it didnt end up panning out. We only managed a best time of 8.7@161mph and had launch problems across all 6 passes we got over the weekend.
There were some positives though, we kinda know a few more areas of what not to do and have a little bit more insight into how to better manage the launches to try and get some consistency there. We have a little bit of work to do to fix up the roof where the sunroof blew out, and then when we come out next I will be jumping behind the wheel to start steering the car. The engine is working well and we have plenty of power - so our focus is all on the launch and first half-track side of things to try and improve. On the flip side - the car generated plenty of interest at Jambo and even though we didnt get to show its true potential on the track it was awesome to meet and hang out with a heap of fellow enthusiasts.
