Default What's This

What's this? THIRD PIC. Falcon SR's question has gone unanswered, and I was wondering myself.

Is it some sort of venting device? I hear mine flapping when I close the rear doors of the SR!

Yep, an air vent. Heaps of cars have them.
I removed mine and covered the hole - I was getting significant water entry through there when driving in the rain.

simple boot breather - supposed to vent any possible build up of fuel or other fumes.

i got rid of mine as well when i made a new floor pan for my car

actually, according to fords press release on the au's because of the 3 part seal on the door, its to let the air inside the car escape, making it easier to close the doors. as mentioned above, it is an air vent
