Default Anyone watching the footy on OneHD?
Seriously, this is the best FTA HD channel there is, quality wise this thing poops all over the other "HD" Channels, its so clear and doesn't have the crappy channel 7's trademark compression artifacts all over it when something slightly moves a millimeter.

Who else thinks that this new channel is the bomb?

Yep I totally agree! The quality is really good, although on my TV the volume needs to be turned up a bit higher to bring it to the same level as other HD channels?

Too bad Carlton is going well :( Geez I hate Carlton!

Yeah got that problem too, also got a problem on my media centre where the SD channels are louder than the HD ones.

How much build up have they done for Judd vs Cousins?

It's been unbelievable!

No wonder the Eagles couldn't win a game when they lost these two...

During the NAB cup channel 7 had the better 5.1 sound but as of today One HD has stepped up to the plate with true 5.1 surround matching channel 7's coverage of the NAB cup. Finally it sounds like you are there but for free and cheaper beer!!

ONE HD is a revelation for all sports fans and the fact that it is free to air is awesome. i posted a thread in the motorsport section about it regarding the F1. full coverage from 11:30 for fri, sat and sun. looks good. others will have to follow to remain competitive.

The quality was so, so poor last night from the Richmond Football Club thus I have not enjoyed the ONE station at all.

Alright, transferring the file to my PC then going to use GSpot to find out all its information. Weighing in at a nice healthy 17GB.

Gspot is a program that analyses Audio/Video files for all you sick minded people lol.

After editing out the ads, actual average bit rate was around 13Mbps. I missed out on the F1s today because I was at school, going to watch it on sunday but.

Don't think Tasmania has it yet :(

Re the sound being lower, it is because the quality in normal channels is soo compressed and crappy that it is turned up. HD means no or little compression = much better quality sound, but at less volume.

People familiar with the Death Magnetic album issue can relate to this.

its not really a NEW channel. its just 10HD. they renamed it ONE HD and dedicated it to sport.

Well that makes sense - I retuned the LG and didnt get any extra channels.
Have to have a bit of a look through the week.
What sort of sports are featured??
NBA?? V8 Supercars??

Heaps of different sports but sure about V8's, you shouldnt have to retune your TV i picked it up fine on my LG LCD

My tv hasn't changed channels all weekend. Drift, Circuit, Sprints and an aray of other sports. I have to buy a plasma for the now. My car will never get finished.

you sound the same as my 8 year old son . i swear i almost offered him a beer . it's the only thing missing .

no v8's unless they are a support cast like they were at the F1. ch7 have the v8's.

ONE HD have F1, nascar, a bit of drift, indian premier league, afl, swimming, golf, basketball(seems to be a lot of college stuff), netball, poker. thats all i can think of at the moment.
