Auto Lock/ Unlock

2016 Trend. I can not for the life of me get Auto Lock / Unlock to work.
Followed the instructions in the manual letter for letter and no luck. I get the horn sound to say I have entered programming mode, no horn to say enabled or disabled when I try one or the other, then I get the horn again when I exit programming mode.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Auto lock/unlock is not enabled in any of the Focus models since 2016. The only way to enable it is via a laptop and specific software.

Correct, dealers can do it or can be done via forscan

I just bought a focus ST 2013 model, do you know if this can be enabled on one of these? A couple of cars ago, I owned a Mazda 3 MPS and it had Auto lock and Unlock and loved this feature, would be nice if this car had it also.
