Just wonder if any has ever found odd Quality Issues on their cars that are hard to believe how they got out of the factory.
Pictures below are from the oil dip stick on my AU XR8. I bought the car last year and when I checked the oil I found that the dip stick had been double stamped. Since you cannot buy them new any more I have worked out which is the correct stamping and have left it. In fact it is now just another Quirky feature of the car. I am most surprise that the original supplier to Ford didn't capture the defect as it must be the most critical feature that you need to control when making a dip stick, but it also went through the Ford Factory plus the dealer, who would have seen it during servicing. put it up on ebay, miss-printed stamps and coins fetch a pretty penny

Yes, very quirky no cost option, A triple stamping should be standard issue for a Detroit diesel engine.

yes still (as money n time permit) doing the rebuilding the zh fairlane with a clevo 400m 4v heads injected whipple blown with aode 4 speed trans to a 9" ....... we'll get there eventually just remember don't be afraid to try something new.
