Default AU 2 Tickford Rims

Hi Guys,

Anyone have a series 2 non XR with Tickford S2 5 spoked rims?

I'd like to see a pic if possible.

Cheers,

GK

OK ... I have Tickford wings on the ute now (wheels only) ... and it's not a Tickford ... so what.

They look the goods now ... even the wife thinks they are much better.

I will have to get the ute cleaned and take some shots of it.

If I get them, they'd be for the SR.

I'll post up a piccie Daniel, so you can work some photoshop brilliance!

Actually, my internet speed has been limited (read chopped) and opening up photobucket is taking an eternity.

Could you retrieve one from my SR workshop thread?

Of course they will ... they would have been one of the best 17" wheels Ford offered ... ever.

kenz,

Your photoshop skills have gone into the GK Hall of Fame!

They look really good, so much better than I thought!

Just in case I don't get them, I've copied the link to the photochop you did. LOL! I hope I do, it's a matter of if I got in first and if the price is agreeable to both of us.

I've only ever wanted S1 Tickfords, but these in a very short period of time have really grown on me!

Cheers,

GK

OK ... here's pics of the new wheels.
Sorry for the poor phone camera quality and the dirty ute.

Hey George, this was the third set of rims I had in the space of a few months... I did always like the look of them, but I'm not sure they suited my car, I think it needed to be lower for them to look their best.

I see what you mean Matt, but perhaps certain styles work better with particular colours?

When I saw those pics of your car a while ago, I remember thinking they're good, but not great.

I think the photoshop pic by kenz with the rims on the SR look great!

We'll see how they look if I manage to get a set!

Yeah, they certainly look fantastic in the photoshop onto your SR, and that's probably the best indication you'll get. My car's stance was all wrong at that stage, I've seen photos of a car that was almost identical (maybe philstoj?) but looked a million times better I think purely due to ride height etc, and being level front and rear.

AU2's on your car will look great George. You won't regret it. Maybe that they don't come in 19's :

I love those Tickford rims.

Would love a set on my AU2, but I think I'd have to change the suspension and lower it as well for them to look any good on it.

So good that all the BA 1 & 2 are based on them. The BA1 had a scallop taken out of the spoke, and the Mk2 had a bump added to the spoke, but the shape etc is basically the same as these.

GK - they will look great on the wagon too - probably better than on the sedan, actually.

I have them, they are on the car, they look awesome! :

Piccies to come shortly, I have to go next door to use the neighbours computer though as my internet connection speed has been limited. Dodgy Optus 400mb download limit! :

Thanks for all the advice and kenz for the excellent photochop!

I'll be back shortly with the pics.

Here are the pics, not the best quality, but I'll take some more later on when I give the car a bit of a wash up!

I reckon it looks awesome and I can't believe I'd never considered S2 Tickford 17's before. LOL!
