Default Finally getting the new rims

Hello All,

well I had a choice between the K-Speed burnout rims or a set of Kaotic rims

and after a long session in Photoshop I decided on the Kaotic rims.

Then by absolute luck a user on fordmods was selling a set of 18X8.5 Kaotic rims so I grabbed them up.

they have 245X40X18 on the front and 265X35X18 on the rear, should look mean as nails.... :evil3:

Damn they come up nice... Dont like the look of the rim by itself, but when you put it on your car it looks so much better.

does anyone have any theories as to why they have 245/40 on the front and 265/35 on the back and not 265/40?

for a wider tyre, it has to be lower profile to keep it the same rolling distance as the front

that's correct the second number is a percentage of the width.for example on a 245/40 tyre it is 245mm wide and the profile is 40% of this. so because the rear is widder the percentage is therefore less.
