Smile Festiva WA timing belt

First time post.
I'm trying to change the timing belt a WA festiva and I can't get the main bolt on the crankshaft undone. Have the engine in gear to stop the crankshaft turning but no joy so far.
Just checking to make sure this wasn't a left hand thread before I up the anti with a big cheater bar.
Any experience with this would be appreciated

the wheel brace may fit it

turn the engine so the spanner or wheel is up against the solid part of the car pointing toward the back remove the plug leads and crank the engine and the bolt will lossen
