Default Removing head unit

hey im just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the stock head unit on a ford focus LS 2006 model as i want to install a pioneer head unit instead

I'm thinking of replacing the head unit in my Focus also. Is the space the stock head-unit takes a double-DIN compatible space?

I do believe so but you'll need a faceplate and I think rails for the extra space on the sides.
