2008 fiesta radio problem

Hi all,

I have a 2008 fiesta (the newer shape) and my radio display turns off, then about 20 seconds later the actual radio itself turns off. So I turn the radio back on and soon it does the same thing all over again.

The problem seems to not be with the radio-component itself, as I bought a second-hand one and installed it myself - yet the problem remained.

Has anyone had this problem before, or know how to fix it?

Surely someone out there has had this problem with their Fiesta radio! Could someone please offer some helpful advice...
