Have researched those, but not the transmitter yet.... seems pretty crappy... FSR GT 15N 4channel.

Have to poke around at it now cause wasn't buying their rip charger or batteries... have some saved on ebay, that i'll order shortly!

Happy so far!

Ordered a pair of Youme 6500 80c for $135.... couldn't find hard case to my liking.
Car is wired with 1 90xt plug.

Gonna physically by a charger.... so should be running in a week.

Hobby peeps insist it doesn't need a heat sink or fan.... motor has small fins.

Factory Spektrum motor has heat sink also. But its cheap insurance also though.
1650kv, smaller than the 2050kv motor in the none EXB version? Pardon my ignorance im still pretty new to R/C.

I really like the shell colourway on the EXB also!

Big question. Does the hobbywing esc come with the program box thing?
I had to buy one separately for my hobbywing esc in my short course truck but it is well worth it.

So the mojave has 1 battery tray? Just asking as a lot of 6s cars have 2 battery trays, 1 either side for weight distribution.
Anyhows, big dog single 6s batteries have one advantage, and that is if you dont want to shell out for a 2 channel charger, you only have to charge 1 battery for all the 6s's as opposed to charging 2 x 3s that for the same cappacity will take twice as long.
My rule of thumb is only ballance charge lipos at 1c. Or 1:1. So your 6500mah youme's, charge at 6.5A.
The cheap imax charger i have max's out at 6a which is fine for my 6000mah 6s. The mid price charger i have is a 7A charger that is 6s capable.
https://ultimatehobbies.com.au/produ..._fid=77b43870c
One of those will do your 6s at 6.5a perfectly fine. Just ask the hobby shoppe people for a banana lead with xt90's on it.

Yeah noticed earlier ones didn't have a heat-sink while latter ones do.

Said he'd sell me one if it would make me feel better! still probs source one anyway.

Its not voodoo. Its worth it. You can adjust all sorts of parameters. Even plug it into a computato and be fancy if you want. Brake force and what they call punch but i prefer the term soft as in throttle timing curve are probably the most useful adjustments.

Even the 2009 hobbywing sc10 which is now in one of my sons rc cars has a program card. Back in 2009, yeah that was like a brain explosion that you could adjust parameters.

Its good because whilst you can to a degree change settings on the esc by staring at the user manual and the whole frustrating thing of hold set, wait for x amount of flashes then press set again, wait for x amount of.......
With the program box it says it all on the screen and it takes no time flat, and no creative swear words to get it to how you want it. Pretty sure the ezrun max 5 and motor have an extra lead, thats for motor temp, so you can adjust the motor temp cutout threshold too.
So the box of wizardry isnt a gimic to make you spend money.

Tyres that come on rc cars are typically 'all rounders', as in like a handyman, ok at most things but not good at any.
My short course truck i have a set of louise poineers on it, as its used on hard dirt and gravel. I did have loise uphills on it before that but they are a bit too off roady/aggressive as in side bite for what i use that car for. For that car they are standard tyres glued to the rims.

My other truck, i have a set of louise uphills for off road, and loise rockets for street. Both those sets are belted tyres on beadlock rims. Reason behind that is that the 6s monster truck is fast, fast enough that its a gamble going over about 110kmh as ive had enough issues with breakage when standard tyres shred off the rim sending the thing into the nearest immovable object at speed.
Tyres are the most effective handling mod. Comparatively cheap compared to the long list of other things you can (and i have done) do.

Theres not much available for these Mojave's if you can find some let me know (already glued on tyres/wheels) Proline do some i believe. But again im still very new.
Ive had no issues thus far with factory wheel/tyre combo either though.
I have aftermarket wheels/tyres on my super baja rey and they def made a difference.

Yeah agree on the belted tyres, would be good.

Only other wheel- tyres for the Mojave are a little to tall & would require to much body cutting for me....

So just look at the specs, as that is the stock wheel tyre combo. Important things to note, internal diameter 3.3 inch, width 42mm, 17mm hex.

So this i am sort of joking, but proof there is correct fitting aftermarket wheels and tyres for a mojave.

haha yep forgot about the paddles!

Nice! am a sucker for short coarse looks!

So my beautiful old Sanwa transmitter, only used about 10x,from 15+ yrs ago, is really worth nothing now days, with how tech has changed.... think it was like $700 back then. With 2x servo's & micro receiver.

There are other styles of tyres, i just thought paddles are funny to prove a point.

Back in the 90s, i had a kyosho ultima 2wd buggy. Before brushless. I had a yokomo 15 turn tripple brushed motor in it. It was fast back then. I rection it did 40kmh back then on a venom 6 cell 7.2v 3000mah nimh. Its was 90s fast. 7 minutes run time.

Well, back to talking serious. HIPO, i know you have the truck, and batteries on the way. So charger is the next thing. So 6s capable, 7A charger. If you are paranoid like me about balance charging lipos, I'd do them at 6.5A being 6500mah units.
Stock tyres will be perfectly fine as they are still new and you have to feel the thing out anyways, and work out the terrain you want to run it on.
Being a hobbywing esc, i won't back down on my recomendation on the future purchase of a program box for the esc so you can do some wizardry to the settings and make it do what you want, the way you want it.

Interesting thing about hobbywing stuff. These days its highly regarded. So i have a hobbywing esc and motor in my short course truck and a hobbywing motor in my monster truck.
So a max 10 with a 3600kv in the blue one and a 2200kv in the red one but that runs a traxxas velineon 6s esc just because bluetooth, gps, lights and sensors. But the 3s sc10 combo with the 4000kv motor i got in 2009 is still kicking in my sons truck. I bought that combo in 2009 for something to do in 2009 as my future ex wife was pregnant so i had to spend more time at home. So it was in the 2wd stadium truck i had. It ripped hard. Back then hobbywing, well it was a new brand, or atleast not yet a trusted brand. So, to me it was a gamble but well priced. These days hobbywing stuff is considered quality stuff. I have no complaints. I have minced 4 traxxas motors and 5 traxxas electronic speed controllers. Never killed anything hobbywing, not even the sc10.

Took me Baja out this morning. Filming, not watching nekminnet power pole, no damage. It needed a new shell before today so may aswell order another one.

The 2 shell options.
This one, the one it came with.

Or the other version.

Who ever at Losi thought that attaching a shell to a car in 4 parts that arent individually replaceable and needed 22 screws to attach was a good idea had rocks. Leaning towards the Rhino one cause something different.

If you dont break something you're not doing it properly.....
Hobbies direct have 1 of the rhino bodies in stock for that thing for $149 or an unpainted shell for $133 should you want to get arts and craftsy.
