3lt Twin Turbo Petrol, 292kW 583Nm, wow I wasn't sure it would happen... love it.
What's the predicted price of one of these....

The styling is much more successful on the Raptor than any of the other models.

Yes, but IMO the new front makes the wider track less obvious than it did on the outgoing model. And that's about all I can fault. Front/rear difflocks and a decent engine will see a lot of interest from the 4wd crowd.

So glad Ford went all in with a engine to match the image.
Now, I hope all those who winged and bitched about the Bi-Turbo 2.0 go out and buy one.

0-100 is over 4 seconds quicker than the older version. So that should put it in the mid 6’s. Impressive. It feels it too. The exhaust is stupid loud as well. But it’s just noise, no real note to it. Reminds me of a ve commodore v6 with a big exhaust. It’s the only thing that could be better. It’s switchable anyway. You can hear the exhaust noise from a long way away. If only the note was better. Can’t wait to see what aftermarket engine tuners do with it. |

Awesome job Ford, the other brands must be going WTF just happened, different price bracket I know but still. Also I see the start button is where you would normally put the key. I like that.

Flamin big step up over the previous models, about time ford pulled its finger out and stopped stuffing around with that little diesel.

Can’t believe Ford put a powerful engine in it when people already bought the last Raptor. Isn’t that what the usual apologists should be saying?
About time this performance model had a performance engine. I want one now. I had zero desire to buy the last model, but I’m going to be looking into this new one since I’m due for a new 4x4 this year. Hopefully they don’t go full stupid with the price like Jeep did with the new Grand Cherokee pricing. Also hopefully it’s not a few year wait like all the other popular new releases these days. |

Very impressive Ford. New Ranger just keeps kicking goals over the competition. Should have a good leg up for a few years as there is nothing notable coming from anyone else anytime soon as far as I’m aware. Will be Australia’s best selling car next year if they can build them.
Hopefully the Raptor is <90k. When ithe current one was released at around 80k I wanted one but couldn’t justify it with the engine. If this is pushing 100k it’ll be out of my reach unfortunately. |

I wonder if the competition will respond with the usual 'black pack' or 'sticker pack' or 'cool offroad bumper, roofracks and LED spotlights pack' or will they actually pull their finger out and make a real competitor. It would be cool to see Ford sitting at the top off the tree, but competition is good for consumers so I'd like to see that. Also pretty much zero percent chance of this new Raptor being less than $90,000. I'd be happy if it's below 100. |

So the new Raptor has more power and torque than my old G6ET...a fair bit more...while I thought one day possibly a Ford EV would outperform the still missed G6ET who would have thought a Ranger could possibly do so as well...and after watching all the different YouTube reviews the Ford engineering team really made an effort and seems like the accountants didn't hold back much either.
.....now imagine an Everest Raptor...... |

That little 3.0 Ecoboost has a fair bit of punch, imagine when the tuners get at them…. The anti-lag function is very interesting, especially when doing a lot of on-off-on throttle. Locking diffs front and back has been needed for a while, pity that’s not available as an option on the rest of the range, I could see that being very popular…. |

The Raptor now has that engine that fits the image, so there shouldn’t be any impediments…unless people now p1ss and moan that there’s no V8…already happening btw. Quote:
