Default Chrome side moulds

Hi everyone, I did a search but haven't found anything. Basically on my AU, one of the side moulds is missing the chrome strip. It probably wouldn't hurt to replace the other ones either. Just wondering if these are still available, and where do you get them from? Cheers

The Silver (chrome look) finish from the AU2 XRs is still available for the door trims as per below:

AU2 F20860 A MOULDING INSERT RH, SILVER, XR $48.40
AU2 F20861 A MOULDING INSERT LH, SILVER, XR $48.40
AU2 F254A58 A MOULDING INSERT RH, SILVER, XR $34.90
AU2 F254A59 A MOULDING INSERT LH, SILVER, XR $34.90

Doesn't look like any of the bright bumper ones are except the LTD rear one.
Will keep searching

I got quoted a lot more than that when I was looking for the strips.

I got a roll of chrome striping off another member Heath/mont5.0 for free!!

There's stuff you can buy at SuperCheap, about $20 for a 4m roll. It's chrome striping. I reckon you'd need two rolls though, which is why I haven't bought it myself.

I've also gone the silver tape option for $9 at Autobarn, which has done okay. I just needed to trim the tape a little, as it was too thick.

I might try the chrome striping next though. I was thinking about it for the wagon. A project for the next Canberra trip me thinks!

It could look alright. When I got the car, it still had all the double sided tape on the mould with the missing chrome. I cleaned all that off the other day and it looks much better (paint's good nick but there's an indent for the chrome) so I might even just remove them all till I get new chrome (ironically the same reason I removed the side moulds on the EA)

I'm not sure the strips off mine would be any good to you, i just had a look at them and they have faded quite abit ... i'd say go with some new stuff if your going to do it.

What's the best thing to use to clean off the double sided tape? i've used different things over the years but nothing seems to be a quick job lol ..

They'd probably get damaged removing them anyway. The strip on my front left door is coming adrift too, and where it's come loose, it's all cracked and honestly looks like crap. I might just remove them all. My brother used the pressure washer (using tank water for the water nazis) on the tape and it actually pretty much fell off lol. Otherwise it's a slow process, as I proved in the past when I removed the moulds off the EA.
