Default A question about drag cars (headlights)

I've noticed a lot of drag cars have 1 headlight missing and 1 headlight fitted as normal.

The missing headlight that is missing is left with a big hole.

What's the reason for this?

Does it help get colder air into the engine?

Thanks

Yes. Totally to do with air intake for 6's and mainly an E series thing. Those with turbos and those who just like the look!

it is actually where the turbo goes, all rotors do the same thing, my cousin has a rotor and his turbo is fitted right where the left headlight is.... so maximum airflow.....

I know of one AU getting around doing the same thing... one day they will learn!

And yes VLs still do it.

I have one of those John Deere Gators at work, and we took the left hand light out to fix it and never put it back in, but it so reminds me of a VL! hahaha
