Default EASTERNATS 2010 ANNOUNCED - CAlder

hEY GUYS just saw this on the nine msn website
thought that id post up here and show you guys
Sucks to be Sandown they just lost alot of cash

Repco EASTERNATS Saved - Calder Park is GO

Repco EASTERNATS founder/promoter Jon Davison announced today that a long term agreement has been negotiated with Bob Jane, to stage the event at Calder Park commencing Easter 2010. After successfully conducting Australia's biggest Auto Spectacular at Sandown Raceway since 1997 and in the process providing an important community road safety benefit, the Melbourne Racing Club [MRC] terminated the Licence Agreement in June. Negiotations with both the MRC and the City of Greater Dandenong proved fruitless, whilst the benefits of moving to Calder Park became increasingly obvious.

"I am absolutely rapt, the move to Calder Park opens up a huge range of opportunities not available at Sandown. The venue can accomodate an increased number of entries,on site camping, a dedicated drag strip that can used under lights at night, the Thunderdome and Calder race tracks and a far more flexible council permit compared to that which existed at Sandown. The Repco EASTERNATS is all about the entrant there friends and our patrons, they are the most important."

A detailed survey of the venue will be conducted in early November to determine the event schedule and other important organisational issues to ensure entrants and patrons have a ball.
See You at the Repco EASTERNATS at Calder Park Friday 2nd to Monday 5th April 2010.

The EASTERNATS 'Where the fans and the cars are the Stars'

Regards and thank you for all your support for further details contact Jon Davison 0418 386640.

Further for some, closer for others. Should be a much better venue, actually this is the sort of thing Calder was built for. Only 10 minutes down the road for me, so I won't be complaining.
