Just a quick question... I'm guessing that the GT35/40 is the turbo used in the BA's with some differences to suit your package would that be correct?

That price isn't too bad. I've spoken to a couple of places for outright kits and that is pretty reasonable.

How hard are these kits going to be to get regestered in Vic Brendan?
Does the 11K include Engineering?

The kit sounds great and the price is the true price of a proper kit unlike a lot of bits you see put up as kits.

But Kerry has a very good question.

Does the price include an engineering certificate.

Without one its unregistered and uninsured to the authorities isn't it?

Currently the kits are not EPA compliant!
Your Car CAN be engineered for the Kit (outside JMM, we can help)
Your Car CAN be tested for emissions (Outside JMM, we can help)

how hard and more importantly *expensive* would it be to get it legal?

EPA test is approx $3k ... i beleive the actual engineers certificate is $850.
i could be wrong with those prices, but i do know you do need the EPA test before you can get the engineers cert.

Prices sound about right John, my mate up here just got done for his Turbo kit.
Vic cost $3000 for EPA, so he changed his Rego to NSW, it cost bugger all there.

The Rta and Epa aren't to bad to deal with if you know where to look....

Am Still waiting for some calls back.
All this testing depends on power output and then Emissions, the engineers need to have emissions before they even look at the car.

There is two emissions test, a full test which by rights should'nt need to be carried out on car that are already registered and there is an abreviated test for exhaust gas only. The abreviated test is rather cheap.

You then need to get the driveline and brakes upto scratch with all needing to be able to cope with the power of the new engine. Brakes are best brought with an ADR with them for proven power to weight stopping ratio's. Which is how theyall SHOULD be tested. Brakes test is $6000 which is a bit too expensive to carry out, but since the braking system you would bolt on would have already undergone that test you just need to find one that will suit the power and weight of the vehicle.

Its not complicated, it just has to be done the right way, and if you want a legal car, ask the engineers and the person building the car first, because if you spend the money and its not done properly you will have to start again.

Dont forget its primarily about the power, upto 500 hp in a falcon is feasable, any more than that and the engineer won't like you one bit.

Great news.
Am keen to see what different packages are available.

When you post the price info on your web site, would it be possible to have suggested brake system upgrades for each kit in order to make the engineering certificate more obtainable?

Also some drive tran upgrade suggestions would be really useful as well.

Good brake combo is the Cebco 330 set like the EL GT's, then we use a big bore brake master cylinder to really get things stopping.

If you email us I can send you the quotes or ring me so we can figure out what you may want first.

Kits are basically split into groups.

-Bolt on kit to stock engine..
-Full 300 kw kit called the street fighter turbo..
-Full 360 kw kit called the street fighter PRO
-Full Jmm Full Flight Race kit like on the white EL.

Also Coming is the JMM Forged Conrod and forged piston sets for 4 litre SOHC and BA.
DoHC.......Unleash the FURY!!!!!!!

hmm... im thinking its a NEW master cylinder... They would be only usefull with the complete brake kit. As the larger bore cylinder will reduce mechanical advantage and give a HELL heavy pedal on any thing other than the complete brake kit...
Not using it would give a spongy pedal, as the stock master cylinder wouldnt move enuf fluid.. to mantain pedal feel with the after market stopers...
