Default Righto - SSL's. Who has got them and are you happy?

I feel the ute will need a further drop in height with the new rims I want and thus I am looking at putting SSL's in it. Currently has SL's in it and am happy but I have never been able to get a straight answer about the legality of SSL's. The practical part is not an issue - my ute never carries anything, but I do need to make sure it wont go under 100mm clearance. Can anybody advise?

This is in an AU3 XR8 Ute and I am using King Springs btw.

You'd need aftermarket bumpstops ... I'd say going that low will come close to resting on them.

Look ... if you want a certain height ... it is best to find the difference between your current height and what you want ... and then get it reset to that height.

I have the SSL king springs in my au. You just have to take it slow up driveways or else your tyres will pull the inner lip of the front guard out. Other than that I love them. Perfect ride height. Gotten many compliments and never ever been hassled by the boys in blue and I'm on my P's

GSAU's old fairy had SSL's in the rear and even with good new shocks and riding on 16"'s, it was still too rough.
I said to him, if you want something with a rough ride, buy a commodore.
And he did.

The worst thing I ever did to my car was lowering it. It looks great but I can't drive anywhere anymore. Oh well.

It's all a matter of opinion innit?
I can't believe what kind of back-jarring, kidney-smashing ride some people are happy to put up with. All in the name of style?
It beggars belief.

Not always style. Sl's and a stiff suspension set up does me fine. Handling is awesome.
I'll stop thread jacking.

I don't know what roads you drive on but it isn't kidney smashing for me. Nobody that had been in my car has ever complained even when I have a full car load. Even the oldies

Yeah, there isn't a single flat road in brisbane
brisbane is just hills hills and more hills
and throw in a pothole-per-street™
