Just wondering about how to not break my diff at drag nats next month. Ive herd doing burn outs on the strip is mega bad for your diff unless it's stonger then standard.
So in a reasonably low powered car like mine would it be needed to do a burn out or just up to the line and go? It does have a LSD but I'm told they're pretty weak |

Just do the burnout dude, if you kill it you kill it. Just chuck another second handy in

Dont race it will be a easy way to keep it in one peice
 But as that wont happen best you can hope for is a bit of luck  As for burn outs they are not realy needed on stockers but wares the fun in that ? the crew will guide you into the water box so spinning shouldnt be a problem,the water is used to help the inital spin to lessen the shock to the drive line, at the start line its just a matter of launching on your cars sweet spot if you get that rite you should be fine, as apossed to reving to the cut out and dumping it

big burnouts are no good if ur on a street tyre, all u need to do is just get a bit of smoke coming off them. too big and the tyre just glazes over and makes it slippery. if u want to save the box then don't do a burnout and ease it off the line. 90% of breakages occur during the launch.

ill be there raceing my au and i havent broken a car there YET!! (key word there yet)just dont push the car 2 hard do what your happy to do and what feels right just dont go try and be a hero and everything will be sweet

yeah i figured that if i went easy it'd b ok. here is a video of what happened last time i went to do a big burn out at the drags. didn't end to well.

Near factory car with bolt ons .... NO major rwhp . WIll be fine champ
Small burnout , run your street tyre psi @ 22-25psi and that will achieve the best results . Good luck, have fun , and stop worrying LOL

If you don't want to risk it don't go racing.
Last time i raced i drove around the water with no skid and i still ran a 14.2 in my old ****** Corona. Did a skid and i ran slower so yeah.
