Know the feeling, luckily she was only around 5 weeks prem so she had a fairly good start & you didn't have to wait too long to get her home.

My youngest was born at 26 weeks & let me tell you, it's enough to scare the living cr4p out of you, luckily everything went well & she is all good.

Enjoy her while you can because as she gets a little older she'll develop (premi baby attitude : ) lol It seems that the more prem they are the bossier they are & being an ex 26 weeker you can imagine : + girls are worse

Enjoy & Good Luck with everything :

By the way good job with the pink Roadster Roy, A gentle push in the right direction from young "The All MIGHTY Blue Oval"

Pics came up nice Whoosh, especially the one with all 3 girls. For those that don't know, the one with the black/grey top is my daughter and little blondie/blue eyes is Rspec's daughter. The one in the middle is obviously mine aswell lol.

Congratulations! As already mentioned the ups and downs are normal but great news to hear all is going well. Don't mean to hijack, but I would also like to announce the arrival of my beautiful baby girl Shae born Thurday 24/7/08 at 4:19pm, 8lb 14oz.... Long labour after being induced at 8am, and very emotionally draining to be there from the previous morning, and having a medical background and seeing my partner Nilda lose over 1.6L of blood afterwards with a BP dropping below 90/50mmHg (normal 120/80) and a pulse of 155bpm....very scary indeed! But a couple of shots of ergometrine, infusions of saline, plasma and 2 transfusions Mum is doing well, and Shae is gorgeous, feeding well, sleeping and being very peaceful and alert. This pic was taken just 10 minutes after arrival, while Nilda was still being stablised and I was holding Shae not knowing whether I'd lose her Mum

We should be able to bring them home on Tuesday all going well, and my employers have been wonderful to give me 3 weeks of paid leave (hey, it's not like I'll be taking any holidays for a while now!).

Congratulations LOCO! Shae is absolutely adorable A good weight too. My son (now 18 y/o) was 8pd 3oz. Sorry to hear that there was some concern over your partners health. My partner went through the same emotions with me. I was fighting kidney failure which was why I was bought on early and then to watch our daughter have a mask & so on to get her breathing, plus being rushed over to the SCN - it's scary stuff. You really learn to appreciate who & what you have when facing times like this, that's for sure!

So since you have a medical background, care to explain the Apgars to me lol (5 at 1 min - 10 at 5 min - 9 at 3)

Here's a pic of Jessica in an outfit that Mr & Mrs Whoosha bought her. Thanks again guys for the gifts

I thought I would dig up this thread and update those who gave me so much support and advice during a rough and worrying time when Jess was born. She's just over 10 months now and these were taken at 8 months (I've had them on layby for 8 weeks!) She's grown ALOT and is a little chubster lol. She's got her 2 bottom teeth and she looks so cute with them lol. She's an absolute joy and a very happy baby. I've had some dramas with her and her sleeping though and had to get her into a routine using the controlled crying method. It worked and then it didn't and then it did but with some alterations to the technique lol, she's finally starting to sleep quite well. Other than that, like I said, she's a joy!

I've taken a shot of the pics on my wall. I can't scan them to post up because they're way too big for the scanner lol.

Anyway, enjoy!

Thanks George I look at her and I can't believe that she's turning 1 in a few weeks. I enjoy every second with her, ups and downs, the lot! Because time is flying too quickly and before I know it, she won't want all my cuddles and kisses lol.
