If it wasn't common place on Ford V8's, I'm sure we'd all agree that looks great - much tougher and more masculine than the standard flat hood.

it was only for that revived it, not started the trend... look at cars as late as the fairlane thunderbird, lightning, thunderbolt whatever it was, the fastest prod. car for a long time... look at the chrysler neon... would the fans of them get arced up at the fords? who really cares, as long as it looks good, and in some cases is functional... i know a bloke who put a cummins turbo on a 351, in an xd, and put a bulge on it... is that just as bad? what about the xr6s with it fitted... thats even worese... how about everyone just lay off everyone else, if you dont like it, express your opinion, dpont bag them out... this is in reply to more than just this thread...

If it's got the performance to match - who cares? If it's a GenIII it'd probably beat a helluva lot of late-model Fords on this site.

I reckon that looks pretty good. The bonnet, even though from a Ford, really looks good on the Commie, and breaks the usual Commonwh*** thing.

Nice ute there. The APS turbo one tonner has the same bonnet too and looks good on the VYs.

It is a nice ute though ... the guy is on proutes ... and there's a lot of work put into it ... so I'll give him credit for the extra effort.

So what if it is a Commodore ute ... as least he's passionate about his vehicle. It looks a hell of a lit nicer in the metal than that pic shows.

Oh ... it's not a photoshop either ... it is that low ... hee hee

Yeah, I'll agree that the bonnet looks quite good on the car. Shame about those wheels... he could have at least gone some tough wheels instead of ripping of a honda civic

That car (Dr Ute) is also in Australian Ute Mag current issue. I must admit (dare I say it) that like most Commodores, in my opinion, it looks terrible and no amount of sweet talking will change that opinion.

I saw a Black Commodore Ute driving through Werribiee last week with a Bulge Bonnet. The Bulge looked more like the one off the GT500E Mustang in Gone In 60 Seconds.

Nice car, hate the rims....It seems every second car in Sydney fitted with 'Chromies for da Homies' has these wheels at the moment. Tired of seeing them.
There's a black VZ SS sedan around Bankstown with the Boss bulge. He's got the same hole cut in as Big Joe's GT (orange quad webbered GT). Doesn't look too bad at all.

What is it with tryhard Holden owners. First it was fake Clubsport kits now its ripoff Ford bonnet bulges. Are they totally incapable of doing anything unique.

Seen that one. Gotta love how the diehards who would never buy ford are buying parts from them because Holden have no imagination.

Oh, and my dislike of Holden goes way way back to when a bunch of accountants and financiers backed a car company that Henry Ford started and then they decided to pull the rug out from under him with his designs. They fired him and named the Ford company Buick.
