Default need a tune for cams?

Gday guys,

I will be buying a set of stage 2 crow cams for my BA NA6, but I'm not sure wether I need to get it tuned or will it run on the stock tune? I am planning on a custom tune but the money situation is tight as I'm also buying a second car at the moment.

Cheers in advance,
Toby

good question toby, i'm in the same boat as you looking to get the stage 2 crow cams. How much would it cost for a custom tune (and installation of the cams) chris?
sorry to hijack your thread toby, but our questions are pretty much the same

cheers,
Julza

I would consider custom tuning any camshaft installation, as it completely upsets the air phase numbers in the computer, resulting in the car running "claggy" and not "sharp" in response.

Chris.

Cam install would me approx 250-450 depending on exact car and time taken.

Tune is also just dependant on time, I retail it between 995 and 1250 depending on time, Forum members get between 750 and 995 worst case.

Chris
