Default Aussie Fords in Movies

Hey guys, just channel flicking on the tv and couldnt help but stop on Mission Impossible II and particularly the unmistakeable interior of an NL Fairlane Ghia limo

Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on our great aussie cars in other overseas movies? not just fords, anything Australian.

There was a thread the other day about Death Race 2 having EL/EF Falcons in it.

I think there were a few EA falcons dressed up as Crown Victoria's in Superman returns.
Although from memory it may have been filmed here.

EDIT: curiosity, made me do a search and found this site.
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?ma...=Falcon&page=1
Provided my link works correctly it should lead to a site that has 29 pages of movies/tv shows which have a ford falcon. (and pictures)

There was a film which was done here on the coast but pretended to be in the USA which had black and white EA falcon police cars....

Very cheesy B grade telemovie....

Quite a few EF's in mission impossible II by the looks of that site.
Even one chucking a handbrake turn.

You beat me to it. I was going to post exactly that - I can't remember the name of the movie though!

Spun me out how the car magically changed to an XE at the last minute. They must have had a HUGE budget...not.

In the remake of Salems Lot, there was a VY wagon with a Chev badge on the grille. The scene was also mirror imaged to make it LHD.

When the Aussie dollar was cheap a lot of telemovies and the like were made here, I remember seeing a couple from the late 90s or early 2000's which had the US spec export Mitsubishi Diamantes in them, obviously Mistubishi Australia supplied them.
