Thanks for a good morning guys ..it was fun.I ended up with 140.7 rwkws..a respectable effort ...

I took my air piping off with pod filter and left the ba intake pipe on .The power went up to 141.9 rwkws ...the restriction after ba intake pipe gained 1.2 rwkws!!

Thanks everyone for a really good day.

I had to call it quits early unfortunately so post up your results as I would love to see how you all went.

I came out on the day with 134rwkw significantly down from the before and after unichip install runs at Autotech earlier this week?

So it looks like useless wins the bottle of Ouzo for finally getting his dev4 to work and beat the dev3hl.

Good on you mate! Now you've got to leave the bloody thing alone now.

Disappointed in my run today big time!

Soxx's ute ran 150rwkw today which only ran one kw more than mine before the unichip at the Autotech dyno day. Useless ran 140 today when he runs 136 on the same dyno I ran 144 three days ago.

Somethings not right. I know the A/F ratios were good today and the Unichip is working as the dyno print out shows them and all is good.

The car doesn't feel any worse so why and how did it lose 10rwkw.

The only thing that has changed is the fuel PULP still just different tank.

Any ideas?

Default Dyno Day

Hi Guys - looks as though you had a good day - was good to drop in and say hi - had only got back from Dubbo this morning at 3am so was pretty tired. I did not dyno my GT as John had only recently done the car. Dyno was 267.5rwkw - with the cold air induction not being taken into account, the car is going quite well - pulling around 335kw at the fly.

Ciao - James

Thanks for the great day guys.

The car didnt seem to make the horsepower that I was expecting but this is an untuned engine and it made 304hp at 6100 revs as the fuel air ratio stared to rich right up so the fella didnt push it any further. Most guys there thought it was pretty sad but I dont care cause once I sort out a few teething problems it should gain at least another 100 hp as the cam only starts working at 4 1/2 to 7 1/2. Unlike Joes Capri he has spent countless hours on the dyno to fine tune his teething problems.

Anyway I had fun today I broke the chaps straps he was not a happy chappy.
I told him not to turn it off as I new the starter would itself as soon as he saw the straps break he turned the car off and that was goodnight for me.
At least I got my $50 bucks worth when he broke his straps... :nutsycuck

cnj - hope the car goes harder next time! Good luck with it. Broekn straps - ahhh well, those straps still held the charade down, and stopped mine bouncing off.

The only cars that were strapped down were the T's and the worked others, EB on boost, capri's etc etc. Funny that, no 8 bangers were strapped down hard : ... ROFL

Useless, finally nice to put a face and name to AFF's biggest stirrer. Love your work with the cameras too!!! :
Cheers
P.S. best car of the day, 20 pound boost charade pumping out 59kw....
Oh, the pram, pricelsss py:

I would like to thank Intune On behalf of the FPV-TICKFORD Club for having all of us there today and doing a great job, The food and drink was great and thanks to Tony for cooking the BBQ it was also great.

It was realy good to see so many people turn up for this and put faces to names aswell as cars, I am also happy to see so many cars put out some awesome numbers as there was a few head turners there, and some awsome motor vehicles there to look at.

Lets hope we can do it all again at a later date and with a bit of luck I will have my old girl ready to go for a bit of a spin on the dyno (hey B-1B)

Anyway thanks to all that turned up today and I hope you all had as much fun as I did.

Cheers

I'll second that. Whilst I arrived late and didn't run my car I still had a good time.

I'd also like to say that the turnout for the day was quite good. Top stuff !

What a great turn out :

I got there eventually, late and hungover.
As much as i love the sound of the cars they nearly done my head in.
Nothing a Nurofen didnt fix, It surely helpt me get through a 12hr shift this arvo/night

I wasnt really suprised or disappointed with my run 118kW with my NEW LPG system.
Last this time last year when i on it ran on a dyno it got 122kW on Premium Petrol.

I can accept that though.

I doubt the 90year old i bought it off ever replaced anything.
The engine and driveline are pretty much the only things i havnt touched thus far.

The mechanicals have held up really good for the last 27 Years in that case.
I guess as i keep replacing things... Getting them Reco'd, ect. figures will improve.

Many more Dyno's to come.

Thanks to Intune and everyone else who made today happen

just my opinion......

A good day & a big thanks to eveyone that help to make it a great day. Yes I was one that was a little dissapoint with my number but after having a talk to a few people I think i know why my car is down a little on power, nothing that a few hundreds dollars wouldn't fix. Not a bad effort as it was Intune frist dyno day & i'm sure it will get better with some helpful idears on how we can make that the day run more smoother.

BUT there was one big scerect let out the bag by a yet to be named turbo lover, some thing about owning a V8 : :
