Sometimes you can have too much news, wait another 12 months then drip feed again to keep the name in the headlines.

Looks like it uses a wheel for the infotainment, if its anything like the BMWs you will forget the need for a touchscreen

Electric handbrake across the range or just upper models?
Looks like towbar is better tucked under the back end, either that or the bumper is covering it better.

Fords done a great job on this. Love the big ticket items like V6 Engine, Full time 4WD and new modern interior with large display.
But Some of the smaller items are also just key for it going forward.
Some things waiting to hear about.

I just watched the release video again, but this time I tried it on a VR headset (Oculus Rift).
The video made sense this way, and was much more interactive. It was a much better experience this way, with only the dogs thinking I looked like a dork.

Why do i get the feeling the V6 won't be offered in manual form :( Ok ok i know it's not the bread and butter these days, but it's nice to have choice. Not sure offered in the F150 with MT so probably that horse had already bolted. 600 speculative Nm with a manual trans sheesh!!!! But if they've got the 10 speed right not a showstopper I guess. I'm just a hanger on'er for a clutch.
Think i need a Sport V6. Be interested to check out the option wheels before thinking aftermarket. One helluva good looking ute.

besides as you say 600NM would require a pretty heavy clutch

It's all personal preference, my LSA Maloo's clutch I had prior to the Fiesta was livable and not 'that' heavy For me it's engagement with the car, no matter the vehicle, every little thing more the car does for itself lessens that connection while i understand modern auto's are brilliant and have driven a ton of them. But have to accept that they're a near dead breed. Least the manuals are still available in the bi-turbo option. And there is some indication they've finessed the 10 speed auto in the new range, hopefully they've got that smack on now. Won't stop me ordering the V6. Priorities!!!!

Maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy but what's wrong with two cup holes infront of the centre console? No moving parts, no wearing out, no fancy pantsy retractable plastic. |

Yeh they don’t. I’m yet to see one broken in the 16 years the hilux has had them. It’s not a spring loaded part. Pull out and it’s there Having them there on the dash is way better ergonomics also. The new bt50 and dmax are nearly identical besides the Mazda not having those cup holders. That would sway my decision Annnnd. Most tradies use the centre console cup holders as more storage |

Lucky you. Point still stands. Cup holders there are premium cup holders. One of them has 300000km. At that point a cup holder would be the least broken thing |

I just want to put it out there, that what you've just seen, and what will be revealed over the next few months, is the result of the biggest program that Ford Australia has ever run! In fact, globally for Ford Motor Company this is most likely the biggest most complex program ever. Only transit comes close to the market coverage and body style options of the T6 platform and they don't have anywhere near our powertrain complexity
Just to put it into perspective, this program is the same size as PX1, PX2, PX3 and Everest combined big up to the Ford Australia team and our global partners who made this happen. |

Nothing wrong with a good trans cooler if your working them hard on the limit frequently. Or you have been shafted by a good old trans milkshake in the past.

in 2010 for PX1 we launched with 3 body styles, 3 engines, 3 transmissions and 2 emissions levels. We staggered the stg5 launch because the workload was too much in 2015 for PX2 we freshened the cars and added the SUV body style. We also added stg6 emissions for the Euro markets in 2018 for PX3 we added the Raptor and the 2.0 Panther engine in single- and bi-turbo forms in both manual and auto. Upgraded the Euro cars to stg6.1 emissions in 2019 we introduced Ranger into North America with a unique engine, transmission and emissions level. While looking superficially the same as the rest of world model the body and chassis were essentially all new Let's list out the engineering work we've just completed and are still working on. Without giving anything away. We concurrently engineered:
so yeah, we're only selling one model...... |

Are they learning lessons and applying it to the new model or nah? Even if it was just one car, I'd rather just the one if it meant all their focus was on making that one better and reliable. |

I'd hazard a guess between Transit and Ranger these are the two most widely sold models by Ford globally and while the F-150 kills them all for outright sale it isn't offered officially anywhere apart from NA & SA. so it's R&D team didn't have so many competing requirements plus VW wanting their own non-negotiables for Amarok. |
