They don't actually know cause I wouldn't have thought that dealers would have the fortitude to bring these things up in their meetings. Too afraid.

I would have thought, to the contrary.
Doesn't Ford want to keep as many dealers as possible, particularly in country areas because it's the widespread nature giving assurance to travellers that keeps people with a popular brand.
Example ....going through the outback in a JLR product.
Dealers should be telling Ford EXACTLY what THEY want IMO.
