You have to be kidding me. You can't see the front how the front bumpers are completely different and the headlights are more rounded and not cut off? what about the side skirts how they come out and the xr's have colour coded side strips?. A spolier, a lower looking ride height?. The alloy wheels and the xr8 has the bulge?. Why does the xr have to look completly different? Just because you may think the the El's and au's are easier to distinguish from the base models doesn't mean they are better looking. Maybe the headlights stand out for the wrong reasons. The b series has proven that subtle and not just aggressive work alot better They are aggressive wit out going over board. If the previous xr models were such a success they would have continued the styling theme. I would prefer a nice el falcon s lowerd with nice wheels then an xr because it just seems like more of a slick car. The headlights stand out but not really for a good reason. All the Xr's were great in their time but the B series have just improved the name.

No point trying to convince those who don't wish to be.. We see the difference and that is what counts. Some people need IN YOUR FACE variants, and some prefer subtle. It makes the world interesting. Leave it at that I suggest, or this thread is gonna end up like many others... Trashed.

EL Fashizle!
As said before. No other XR has looked so agressive or so differentiated from the standard Falc'. The EL is still a standout today. Take a look at an EL (or EF) XR (full Ticky kit, of course) next to the SS or Clubsport of the era. Kills 'em for looks! |

I think the best looking XR was left of the list, the XG. So i pick the AU.

I would have to say anything before the B-series. Proberbly EF for its raw look.
It must be the wings i guess, knowing that it atleast got tickled by tickford as apposed to a factory varient. |

From favourite to least favourite.
1. EL It just works, toughest looking modern Aussie sedan. 2. EB Always been a massive fan of the EB shape. 3. BA/BF Look pretty good, but very bland. 4. ED Can look great when they're done up. 5. EF Poor man's EL 6. AUII/III Too weird for my liking 7. AU See above

Looks like B-series followed by EL... I think that is fair, and I would also pick that as my preference. I do like the ELs too.
