30 hours a week is plenty for me, enough to survive on, go on overseas holidays every couple years, and spend alot of my free time having fun. I could never work 80+ hour weeks. I have friends that do it, and they never take holidays and have fun. It's either work or sleep.
When you're old, you'll look back at your wasted youth and think, i spent the best years of my life in an office cubicle/workshop working long hours, and for what, to show off to the jones's that you have the latest car, biggest tv, flashiest home to me all the material stuff is bulldust. Be happy with what you got My 2 Cents |

I'm self employed... I didn't do any work this week. Really couldn't be bothered. Slept in alot, ate lots of food, good times...
Having said that, I have had some weeks where I have done somewhere in the region of 80 hours. It all depends on how much I feel like doing (read "how much money I want to earn") and what other social commitments I have. Its a hard life. : |

Im lucky as i own my own businesses.
So i do about 5 hours per month :P Yeah i pay myself a fair bit as well. I could think of nothing worse than the 9 - 5 plus overtime that gets taxed to the moon. |

What's work? Zero hours unless you count 12 hours of school :. Will be getting a part time job soon though - about 10 hours/week.

It varies depending on how many projects I have going. But I've just got off a stint doing 85hrs/week with only 3 days off in three months. OH&S didn't like that too much.

I do 38 during the week, but if im offered weekends, which usually happens, i take them. Love the overtime...well, the cash anyway, not so much the work.
