Managed to order online, the customer limit of 2 x 5 litre Castrol Edge 5W - 40 and saved $75! off the regular price. Its the best deal I've had in along time for one of the best fully synthetic oils you can buy!

Albury store sold out of 5w-30, still a few bottles of 5w-40 left over. People were banging on the door at 8.10 even though the door clearly says 8.30

If you're using the recommended oil & the vehicles cooling system is in good order (heat transfer, thermostat operation), oil temperature should be pretty much the same all year round; taking into account the time it takes the engine to reach normal operation temperature & road use only. Read this great article, shared by one of the other guys on here - http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/motor-oil-101/

Needed more oil, and decided to try a semi syn oil in the form of Castrol Magnatec 10W-40. Seems fine so far and car starts the same as the edge 5W-30.
On sale for $19.99 at autobarn and $18.99 at supercheap for 5L bottle. Stock up if you want. |

Just so long as the thread stays on topic, it's meant as a heads up to grab a bargain

This thread is about where to buy oil at a reduced price.
If you know where and when a store has oil at a reduced price feel free to add to the thread, otherwise don't bother posting.

Not using it for Barra, I am going to use it in AU I6. Most oil Co.s recommend 10w-30 10w-40 for the AU six.
