Didn't have the dollar probs, although Mum wanted to sign the $'s over to myself & good Bro! (:
All agreed to put Mum into respite. 2 days latter the older siblings inform us she's not coming out. Place of their choosing, miles from us who see her 95% of the time.
Everything worked out on long term payment method.
Turns out the place was a dog-box............. long story short, busted her out found her a beautiful room, overlooking the Sea, in a familar area. Staff were amazing.
Reworked payment methods as "their" way could have seen $'s running out, before & possibly after her property sale...... Mum went from a fiercely independent 97yo to gone with Dementia just prior to 99.........Her $'s were preserved thanks mostly to Wifeys nouce & all received the max., which is what Mum often spoke of.

Due to him never leaving home, he assumed therefore to owning the house entirely and had the will signed over to him solely.
My mother, cooked, cleaned, and even opened the gates for him to back out the drive for near on 45 years and refused to except he was using her.

Sad b*rstard.
Sometimes you don't know your own siblings until a thought of money is put in front of them. It's sickening.

Im sorry you had to go through this assuming you could trust that sibling.

In my situation, the probate period was just about up when my other sibling put in an order to investigate. If this did not happen, no doubt we would've ended up with nothing.

The sad part about it is your parent was none the wiser and died thinking their kids would do the right thing, and be look after their estate the way they had intended.

I recently started contributing to a lawn mower forum that I've been a member of for a while but never posted. I started posting when I bought the 1950's Victa last month, thinking it would be a great way to learn about these mowers I knew little about.

So, I did my usual thing, using photo's as much as words to show what I'm doing and tell the story. Rather than a wall of words, the photos and video add interest and keep the reader engaged. Not to beat my own drum, but I think I'm rather good it at doing this now.

This forum doesn't get huge traffic, like most forums these days. And posts like mine with images are few and far between. Put it this way, I put a lot of effort into what I do because I enjoy it and because I think others might as well.

Today I got a PM from one of the admins, insisting I don't post full size images via a hosting site. Instead, they want them as small attachments. Why.........................

Quote:
"The reason for this is that it takes a lot of scrolling to get to the description."
Wow, who would have thought scrolling was such a chore.

I don't know about others, but I find attachment images that you have to click on to enlarge to be annoying and ruin the flow of the post. The view counts on these posts and threads are significant, but not one person has bothered to click "like" to at least give me some feedback as to if what I'm doing is being well received. And the engagement with the fellow members has been lacking, which is disappointing as I was hoping to learn from these people.

I have to say, I'm pretty ****.d off with that attitude. Over the last month, I've posted several large threads, probably generating more content that site has seen in the last year. Frankly, I don't know why I bothered.

No, but they are likewise "well established" and have a retail arm selling repair parts.

I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but I just feels like a giant kick in the guts, sorta like thanks but no thanks. Maybe I overachieved?

All our bees are now dead. From 250.000 across multiple hives to zero, in a matter of very few months. Not impressed with our government, or the people who think it’s fine to game biosecurity.

Spare a thought for the career apiarists, the emotions would be intense as this attack rips across our country. I’m sad and angry, but it’s not my job or overt passion on the line. Others will really be suffering.

Bloody heartbreaking CB. Especially when you see people on TV shows like Border Security trying to sneak god knows what into this country!!

People dont understand the importance of these wonderful little creatures!

We also have another bird flu outbreak in Euroa (Kinross Farm) yesterday, just after they declared it had been brought under control.

Poor owners are about to loose their whole livelihood and supply of the local community with Open range eggs.
I hope our other community supplier, BoHo Joes in nearby Boho will be not be effected.

My clients had three bustling hives in their suburban back yard this time last year. They are down to one struggling hive.

That was my thinking as well. Clicking on photo links after you've read the post or scrolling up and down to click on links just ruins the flow. I'm baffled at the thinking going here. I'd understand being pulled up for posting links to competitor companies or being deliberatively argumentative as seems to be accepted norm these days. Thing is, most of the posts are from people asking questions that never come back to post the outcome. At least I was providing something different.

In the end, I replied to the PM politely..................

And of course, there was no reply to that, so there will be no further contributions.

It's ****ed down rain on Monday evening and flooded my carpet. I have had leaks from my window before but never this bad and never from the sliding door. I suspect gutter overflow and this despite them having overflow slots but with the pergola, my roof, and neighbors roof just too much water!.

I don't know how many towels I went through that night but it was a lot and at a certain point you just can't absorb anymore water even after spinning them in the machine. So I put the Dyson onto it because the evap would just bring more humidity in. But over the next day just put the evap on dry and did a lot to dry it.

After trying to **** around with trying to get tradies out here I just said **** it and put in a claim. I got the call yesterday arvo and sure enough bloke shows up on time this morning.

He was inclined to rip the carpet out (I think mostly out of procedure) but I guess was a bit on the fence too since it was not too bad. I'm very hesitant to replace it since it looks fine and still have to do some sort of repairs. And in any case they still have to dry out the slab so might aswell give it a go.

Sprayed some bacterial spray down, setup the blowers and dehumidifier and off we go. All was good and hot and noisy and of course it started ****ing down again and leaking again! Luckily not too much so big relief.

Hoping on Monday he will just be able to re-lay it. I'm gonna need a few trades around possibly to figure it out but first stop is the vacuum gutter cleaner instead of some bloke with a blower where they left all sorts of shit in

Have been dealing with for 11-years now. Some days are good, some are horrible. I've given up trying to find what it is, no doctor or over-priced specialist can nail it down.

I understand totally and emphasise with your situation.
Pain is quite normal in my case and finding the right doctor is extremely difficult, but when you do things can change pretty quickly. Obviously I don't know the type of pain you are experiencing but have you tried acupuncture?

I had my first session 2 weeks ago and it is certainly making a difference.

I'm gonna need a few trades around possibly to figure it out but first stop is the vacuum gutter cleaner instead of some bloke with a blower where they left all sorts of shit in
Seems like there is something really wrong with that roof as it doesn't appear to shed serious water properly.
I think you said you've had problems with it before. It might be time to pull the carpet permanently as it probably happen again. The weather is not getting any better.

Hope you can get it sorted for once and all.
